Editing the player_fielding_stats file question

Hello,

I've been importing past season stats from a leaque I used to run on another game. It's worked fine for batting and pitching, but I can't get any of those past seasons to show up for fielding. Does the import feature work for fielding stats?

Thanks for the help!

It does work for fielding stats as well. You'll want to check your layout, as even one column or row that's off can mess up the whole import process.

Odd. I've checked that cause I figured that would be the problem. But even if I run a season to ensure the fielding stats show in game, export the fielding stats, then copy and paste those same numbers into the same positions in a previous year, it still doesn't import.

Any ideas?

Not offhand. I'll try to run a test on my game and see if I can recreate the issue.

Thanks

All I did was run a season, then export stats, then create a new line with copy and paste. All I changed was the year from 1982 to 1981. After I saved it and imported the stats, the fielding stats from 1982 were there, but there was nothing for 1981 at all.

Great. It's helpful to know that.

If you don't hear back from me within a couple days, hit me up with a reminder please!

One possibility - when you select the fielding stats tab, it defaults to showing current year only. There is a toggle in the upper left where you select full career fielding stats.

This was driving me nuts the other day, when I thought my league was not saving fielding stats. But it was just that the display defaults to only showing the current year.

Okay, that tab thing got me tinkering. I tried that, but the stats still didn't show.

I changed the "scope" setting to "League Scope (Current:All) and the stats showed.

The default scope is League Scope (ML:All) and it's blank there.

Batting and Pitching show up fine when the League Scope is ML:All. Any idea how to fix the fielding stats so they show up under that setting too?

Solved it - i needed to enter the correct league ID # in the csv file. Didn't have to do that for batting or pitching, but I did for fielding.

Thanks for all the help all
