I have decided to try a stats only. Could someone give me a place to find out what settings you use?
Thanks |

Can be frustrating at first, but for years now, is the only way I play. To each his own, but I feel it makes you pay more attention to your team, and a lot of times when drafting as an example, you have to go with your "gut" feeling.

How does it work - Drafting without ratings? Do you just go by the guy's name, physical attributes.. cut of his jib?

Drafting can be issue. I only do 20 rounds most of the time, and seems for the most part there are players that have stats listed. But when you get to players that don't have stats(still trying to figure out why that is), I usually look at the competition, and try and draft those that are listed as "great" or "good". I don't lose any sleep over this, as by the time I'm at that point, I'm deeper into the draft, and chances are those players will be selling insurance or something after their rookie season.

Check this thread out. A few years old, but you might find some useful info.

Tried to start a fictional stats only league with 2 Leagues, 1 division each with 8 teams(circa 1950's baseball.) With default College and High School feeder leagues added.
Seemed fine until I noticed all minor league, high school and college teams were only playing about 3 to 4 games each in their season. I did change the schedule to 154 games for my Major leagues. Would that have caused it? I checked and each minor league and high school and college team were also scheduled to play 154 so I think that might have screwed it up. |
