4 man rotation not working
I have always used a 4 man rotation. This version the game wants to pitch a reliever at a rate of once a week. Never had this issue in PT19 and PT20. I have set all my relievers player strategy to force their role to RP, set my rotation to strict. Nothing seems to work and it is getting extremely frustrating.
I thought we were supposed to be allowed to play the game the way we wanted. If I want a 4 man rotation and only those 4 keep the AI out of it. This goes along with the other issue of the AI moving pitchers in to the lineup screen. There is supposed to be an option in the player strategy to remove the pitcher, but it isn't showing up when there is only one pitcher left in the line up. Again to keep the AI from using them in the field I have to force the role a pitcher. BTW this option does show up when setting up the lineups for tournaments. |

Will someone please explain the reasoning that went into nerfing 4 man rotations. On all my teams the relievers will start 20-25 games every season. Might as well get rid of the option and force everybody to run at least 5 man rotations.

I've had this issue as well. Late in a season I wanted to skip my #5 starter to line up my #1 for game one of the playoffs. I went to a 4-man, stuck #5 in the bullpen, and he was immediately given a spot start for the game I wanted to skip him.
I also constantly see it in tournaments. Any team running a 4-man rotation winds up throwing bullpen games. It seems that the engine is *very* aggressively avoiding pitching starters who aren't 100% rested, even if you're specifically telling it that's what you want to happen. |
