Cannot create all-star game in 3 division league

I started with a standard 2021 game, the season is completed and I am in the offseason between 2021 and 2022. On the league settings screen for the International League, under Options, it says "this league does not support an All-Star game, it has just one division". But on the Leagues and Teams tab, the league has 3 divisions. I don't understand why it is telling me there is only 1 division when clearly there are 3.

Any suggestions how to get around this so I can schedule an all-star game?

This all stems from confusion with terminology.

The main organisation EG MLB is the only "league". The "leagues" underneath that EG American or National are actually "sub-leagues" and the groupings within them EG West, East, Central are actually "divisions".

It seems you only have one "sub-league" , with 3 "divisions".

The game will only allow an All-Star Game where there is more than one "sub-league", in the game's terminology. So it will work for the MLB setup, just not for the IL one you seem to have created.

Actually they're called sub leagues, (the AL & NL) not sub divisions.

You need 2 sub leagues in order to have an All Star Game.

You can also have an ASG with a single sub league that contains two divisions.

Positive. I have a single sub league two division league that I have been playing for 31 seasons and have an All-Star game every year

Yes forgot they added that. Reason the OP can't do it is because he has 3 divisions. Uneven number does not work.

Yeah, even divisions in a single subleague can work (with 2 divisions it's obviously 1v1. I forget exactly the rule if you have 4 divisions, but I know they get paired up somehow for determining the teams). The error message probably needs improvement to be a little clearer as to what cases are supported.

I still think it should be possible to name one all star team for leagues which don't support an all star game.

two bad there are not options for the all-star game like Americans vs the world or having 2 Captains draft players

Those would be good options to have too.

Ideally we should have all the options mentioned.
