OOTP 22 to OOTP 23
Can you upgrade from 22 to 23, will it be a smooth conversion if I have my league which is starting April 7th, can I import my league into the new game?

Yes, it's very seamless and there always is between new version and the previous one. You'll just import the old league into the new game (via a menu when you load the game) and then it'll be right back to the action.

The ideal time to import is during your league's offseason, especially if there's some big new add this year to the game engine (which, who knows?). Otherwise yeah importing into the new version is a snap. You just click on the "import from OOTP 22" button, send Markus your social security number and mother's maiden name, and boom, you're backed up and you have a free charge on your checking account of $10,000.

Don't misunderstand the joking... there is no charge to import. It really is super easy. I have been using my same franchise since OOTP 12

22 Perfect team
In this same vein; can I move my OOTP22 Perfect team into the Version 23 or do I lose all the money I spent building up my team?

@Mark3
Nope, your time (and money) are not transferable. PT23 will start again from ground zero.

That said, you can continue to play PT22 from OOTP22 for a while before they shut that server down. There won't be anything new added to it and the active user base will dry right up after 23 is released, but if you want to get closure for your gacha or something, the track record so far has been to shut the servers down when the next version after the next version is released (so PT22 will probably go where Perfect Teams go to retirement at around the time OOTP 24 is released).

There may be a little bit of variance this time as far as pitchers’ movement ratings are concerned, but once in awhile when you change things this is inevitable. It shouldn’t be too bad though.

Can you expound on this without getting in trouble for potential changes? Curious what inputs to Movement rating changed.

Ooooo intriguing…
This is the type of stuff I buy OOTP for. Don’t bother me with that Perfect Team junk

If true would effect Perfect Team junk a lot more that base game junk.

I think that IRL there's a lot less variance in pitchers' HR/FB rates than there is in OOTP and I would imagine that they might have made a change to reflect that. Essentially, groundball hitters don't give up a lot of HRs and flyball hitters do, however else they may play. That is pure speculation on my part, however.

Frankly, as a player I'd assume it'd affect both equally. But that's just me.

I'm not saying it wouldn't apply to Perfect Team, I'm just saying that any game addition that *only* effects Perfect Team is wasted on me as I have no interest in Perfect Team. I absolutely love my fictional franchise mode and anything that adds to the imerssiveness of that experience is awesome. If it also adds to Perfect Team, that's fine.
