how to change path to game

How do I change the path to game location. It is currently showing the path going to OneDrive. I don't use OneDrive anymore and want to set it to the path on my computer.

I have look at all the setting options in game and on the start screen and can't find an option to change that path..

Open OOTP, click Settings (or if already in one of your games, click File > Settings) and then select the Expert tab. From there, the first option is Custom Data Path (*). Click the Select button to the right and then choose your path.

I'm not exactly sure of this next part, but the way I did it, I created this path _ D:\Out of the Park Baseball 25\data first. And that worked for me. So that's probably your first step

That worked. I actually looked at the setting and thought it was for where the game would be installed on the c drive. I changed to where my game files are and it worked.

Thanks.

Cool

Please note this:

That is, IMO, a mixed bag. OOH, my custom files won't get overwritten / I won't have to remember to check them to make sure. OTOH, my non-custom files won't get updated when I might typically want them to be updated. So I guess it's kinda zero-sum...

It's the database files (files in \stats and \data to which I was referring. That said, I would expect it would be the same for those other items you mentioned, but I am not sure, as my experience with this is pretty minimal and recent. So I'd recommend a) backup your files, b) trying this, and c) reporting back what you find so we all learn

Good luck!

They should get updated, but sometimes things can get a little weird with custom paths.

Basically if you just go to settings > troubleshooting > force reinstall game data after each patch, this should ensure things get installed correctly.

Hey Lukas, wondering about this... Like I alluded to above, when using a custom path, I kinda like how my custom csv & txt files don't get overwritten, but I don't like missing updates on, say odb files. As of now it appears that none of those are getting updated in my custom path, but the files that are in my default path (that the game is not referencing due to my custom path) are getting updated.

What would you recommend as the best way to manage this? I mean, perhaps my periodic comparing of the files' date/time is the best way, but just wondering if you have any other thoughts on it. Thanks in advance
