PBC seeking managers for 2050 season!

PBC is a 32 team online league league started in 2018. We've simmed through the 2049 season and are about to embark on the 2049/2050 off-season.

My name is Dan aka DJR and I'm tasked with recruiting new GMs! We have multiple people making the league happen (including a founding co-commish) and the depth of leadership strengthens the league.

The following teams are available as of league date November 7th, 2049. We just finished the World Series (Braves over Mariners in 7, Mariners blew a 3-1 lead). Mexico City Diablos - A team that's been up and down over the years. They do have a very exciting young Shortstop. Good shortstops are gold dust.

Minnesota Twins - Still resting on the laurels of its 2044 and 2045 championship teams. The talent leakage since then has been significant. Can you make the Twins elite again?

Pittsburgh Pirates - classic rebuild situation with the worst record last year (so highest lotto odds for #1 pick in 2050).

Santo Domingo Iguanas - a different type of challenge: good players but many have long-term financial commitments, and the farm is barren. Can you rebuild the Iguanas?

Toronto Blue Jays - very much an average team. Inoffensive, just like you'd expect from a Canadian team!

OOTP25. We haven't finalized when we'd switch to 26, but we'll likely be on OOTP25 for a couple more seasons, which would take us into the summer of 2025 IRL.

What's the sim schedule?

Regular season - sim one week Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun afternoon/early evening USA time

Offseason - usually daily sims, off days prior to significant events like Rule 5 Draft

Pre-season/Spring Training (ST) - 30 game ST occurs over 3 sims

Settings?

20-80 relative ratings, scouting/coaches off, low injury, TCR = 125, Draft Lottery, and draft pick trading

Comp Balance - picks awarded for Market Size/Revenue (lottery, each year); small market teams may rollover more cash year-over-year

Finances - no inflation

Can answer any additional questions you may have.

What are manager expectations?

Slack is required for communication. Active chat.

Typical managers are exporting around 60% of sims. If you're doing that, you're doing just fine.
