RIng Magazines
No idea what triggered it, but I just had a flashback to the late 70s when I last visited the offices of The Ring Magazine in New York. They had a storeroom with racks of back issues of the magazine and fight posters and some other stuff piled up in a jumble. I picked through the magazines and pulled out a half dozen and a crumpled poster of the Chuvalo-Patterson fight.
I think I paid about ten bucks for the lot. Also shook hands with Herb Goldman, the Ring Magazine's resident historian. (I also recall they had this incredibly good-looking girl/young woman in reception. I think she was a relative of someone else working there.) ![]() I wonder what happened to all those back issues?
