What is the GCL?

The GCL is a best-of-the-best competition for OOTP's online leagues, kind of a World Cup minus the kicking and the vuvuzelas. The first season was played last year and long-running online league PEBA emerged as the champion.

Season 2 of the GCL featured 26 of the top GMs from OOTP's online leagues, and PATP and USBL finished with the top two records. Both of them survived grueling seven-game battles in the first round (PEBA was eliminated by USBL) to move on to the GCL Finals.

Is there going to be an option in the settings to change "Sim Week" to "Sim Month" or "Sim to Select Day"?

The player editor looks amazingly deep. Between the editor and the iOS 7 look, it looks like a greatly improved version. Can you give us any info on an improved AI? Thanks much!

RE the improved AI: The improved payer evaluation AI was ported over from OOTP 15, and then there were a lot of other general improvements.

RE other sim options: I had suggested adding Sim to Month and Sim to Event X to the Sim This Week option, but they didn't make it into this version. Maybe next year.

Darn! I would have to think that would be an easy setting option as well compared to some other things people have suggested.

Is the sim speed faster this year? I thought it was crazy fast when you clicked "sim week" on the video, but maybe that was just my imagination.

RE the sim speed: Thanks for noting that. It just occurred to me that I should have pointed out in the video that the sim speed was likely deceptive, since I was running an iOS app on a computer. You shouldn't take the performance in the video as an indicator of how it will perform on your device.

That said, I've always found the game to sim pretty quickly on my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S, so I'm sure this version will be comparable, if not better. It just won't be lightning-fast like it was in the video.
