Expansion Team

Hey guys,

This is my first year playing OOTP and I'm having a problem when starting an expansion team. I go through the first year player draft and am able to play the first couple of games, but then it won't led me proceed because my minor league rosters aren't filled. I try to fill them with A.I. or made up players, but neither works and it's just a dead end. I've tried a couple of times, but always with the same result. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong ?

When you say you've tried a couple times, what exactly have you done? Knowing what hasn't worked is half the battle.

I've tried to start an Expansion team a couple of times but each time it won't let me progress because my rosters aren't filled out.

- I start a team
- Offer free agent contracts
- Do expansion draft

After that it wont let me go past first game because my minor league rosters don't have enough players. Do I have to go in and individually sign each player? Is there a way to have the computer just fill them up?

Hope that's clearer. Thanks for the help!

Hmm, have you tried setting certain responsibilities for your Assistant GM to complete in the Manager Settings menu?

Go into FA. Sort by contract demand. Check everybody, and go through and uncheck the ones that aren't looking for minors deals. Offer all minor league deals.
In a couple days most will accept. You can also turn on ghosting players. After the first First Year Player Draft you can release some of these minor league deals and rebuild your farm system.
