My team's fans are idiots!

They are upset that a half-season rental who we did not resign as a 35-year-old signed a contract with another team over a year after he last played for us! Ugh, come on fans. We had a rookie come up at that position who is an emerging star. Come on fans, get your face out of your Candy Crush app!

I always wonder exactly what that means when you get a message that says "The overall fan interest almost crashed". My fan interest stays at 100 even after receiving those types of messages.

And on the other end, some of the "fans are excited you signed Osvaldo Arcia!!!" are pretty funny too.

Whenever threads like this or complaining about how dumb your owner is, that always makes me happy that we have truly captured the essence of those people and your role in managing a team and its fanbase.

What's the cliche about a GM who concerns himself with the fan's opinion when it comes to player personnel?
"If you listen to the fans, you'll end up sitting with them" or something like that.
If they have a gripe about the pizza being cold and tasting like cardboard, the beer being warm and flat, and the hot dogs having a taste and texture like ground rubber then that is worthy of consideration.
But if they want to decide who should play RF next season, forget about it.
