Completing FotF

I never anticipated that the hardest thing about finishing the missions would be trying to find the silver cards. It made sense after thinking about it that a lot people probably quick sell even historic silvers more than they put them up for auction. Having a heck of a time though.

I've often thought there should be a better way to handle cards that are quick-sold rather than taking them out of the game world entirely.

I've done this quite a lot myself this past 4 months or so - haven't had enough interest in my F2P teams to spend time trying to squeeze every last PP out of an auction, so I quick sell them.

My guess is there are tens of thousands of cards that "could" be useful to others that are currently thrown into oblivion.

Maybe there could be a way to throw these quick sell cards into a separate database and use them as a source for some kind of "grab bag" event, or simply sell them to whoever for minimum value?

Just a thought.

There should be a way to automatically list a selection of cards with the minimum starting bid and no BIN. No risk for the seller since you still get the quicksell at least but keeps supply in the market. It isnt worth the time to click thru every historical silver and list it for 500 PP or whatever.

I think a lot of people have ramped up their FOTF efforts due to the diamond pack sale lowering the diamond prices. Some clever players have taken advantage of the relative mismatch in supply by flipping the silvers and golds, driving prices up.

Price wise I noticed that the older missions are more expensive not necessarily the better reward. For example I spent less per card on Seaver and Mays than I did for Fernandez.

“Give me your silver, your bronze,
Your huddled cards yearning to be collected,
The wretched refuse of your teeming duplicates.
Send these, the worthless, quick-sells, to me:
I lift my lamp and open the door to PP rolling in.”

I'm going through FOTF right now and I agree that silvers are at the moment easily the hardest cards to get.

The best way to do FotF is by doing all of them at once. I would just sort silvers by BIN and snap up any I didnt have under 600 or so. Eventually you have filled them all in at a low average cost and only have one or two left per team.

Regular packs - guaranteed bronze
Gold packs - guaranteed gold
Historical packs 0 guaranteed gold
Diamond packs - guaranteed diamond

No Silver packs?

The historical packs give up quite a lot of silvers, but I guess people aren't buying them because they're bad value. I roughly worked out that my historical packs have averaged about a 4k return, and that's with a few juicy pulls. Maybe they should only cost 5k now?
