Spring Training is over. There are no injured players. We are predicted to win our division by 1/2 game over the Oregon Dragoons. We are expected to be 3rd out of 5 in our division in runs scored and 1st out of 5 in our division in ERA. Ricky Gonzales is projected to be the 8th best pitcher in the league, with a final year projection of 23-17, 3.39 ERA, 199 K and 162 BB. Our spring training record was 19-10 and we were in first place by 3 games.

8 teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs, 5 division winners and 3 wild card teams. 17 teams from each conference will miss the playoffs.

April Schedule 3vHAW, 3@OKL, 3@TEX, 3vIDA, 3@NMX, 3vKAN, 3@CAL, 3vNMX, 3@ORE, 1vIOW

Game 15(5-9, 3rd, 3.5 GB): @NMX 3, WAS 2 Washington only gives up one run in it's first 6 innings behind a strong Drysdale performance, only to give up a two run homer in the 7th to give up the lead and lose. Drysdale helped his own cause with an inside the park home run. Tom Timothy continued his hitting streak with only two at bats but was injured in a collision at third base. L-Drysdale(0-2) HR: Drysdale(1) POTG: SP Drysdale(8 IP, 2 ER, 7K 4 HA) A: 10K TOG: 2:14 Weather: 56d, 11mph(ltr)

Game 16(5-10, T3, 4 GB): @WAS 10, KAN 3 Timothy continued his hitting streak but was reinjured. Things were close until a 6 run 7th inning opened things up for the Apples. Gonzales pitched well and got his 2nd win of the season. W- Gonzales(2-0) HR: Seigfried(3) POTG: Rshtun Noreyan(2-4, 3R, RBI, 3B) A: 4K W: 55d, 10mph(in)

Game News: The Apples got some bad news, Tim Timothy, who was one of our best hitters and batting .383, is out 9-10 months. Apparently we shouldn't have played him when injured. 27 yo Phil Osborne has replaced Timothy in the lineup.

Game 17(6-10, T3, 4 GB): KAS 2, @WAS 1Washington goes against a Kansas pitcher who is pitching his first start in Enrique Barron but Barros does incredibley well and only gives up 1 run in a complete game. Washington's Cook has a good outing as well only giving up two runs but still loses. L-Cook(1-2) HR: None POTG: Enrique Barron, KAN SP, CG, 3 HA A: 5K TOG: 2:11 W: 51d, 8mph(out)
