Rare Brooks Kieschnick Type
I've come across a few of these in my big current game. Most never amount to reasonable value on both sides. Usually they're relievers that can sort of bat but are below replacement with the bat.
Enter Jean-Francois David. Now about to enter his first full season, he's a back end rotation guy who is also a glove first middle infielder. My plan is to use him as a starter (current style all DH league) and off-day late inning pinch fielder? Or I might keep him on a route of 60-80 middle infield games and 40 bullpen innings? Depends on how the starting thing goes I guess. |

First full season in the books
18 pitcher starts, 15 relief appearances, 4.92 ERA, 0.3 wins 21 starts across all infield positions, CF and RF, 59 other batting or fielding appearances, .258/.295, -1.6 wins He's 25 and scouting numbers still see good upside on both sides though I probably can't commit to making him a full-time middle infielder, which suggests mostly the pitching route? |
