Is there a manual on how do play or do certain parts of the game? I want to read up figure out this International players and how to sign them and get them moved up on to my team and the whole WAR stuff. It's always something the owner wants me to do but I never do it because I haveb't a clue how to do it. Thanks

Some of these owner goals, are almost impossible to complete. Especially when he wants you to like trade for an all-star or stuff like that.. I have had it where I literally traded for an all-star from the current season and it didn't complete the goal lol. Then you get the ones like "Get attendance up from 20,000 to 35,000" and there is no way you are going to be able to do this either, especially if your team is not winning.

Owner goals need to be worked on because with recent changes, some of them just, are not a possibility. That's why I kinda just turn them off for now. They are a cool challenge but, until the system gets worked on, it's a bit broken.

Maybe impossible to achieve owner goals are a feature not a defect. Like OOTP's version of the Kobayashi Maru Scenario. I suggest you add information on no win owner demands to the Wiki. It belongs because whether it's a feature or defect it's how the game works.

The Wiki is supposed to describe how the game works. I don't see how your comments on how the game works don't belong in the Wiki.

I have owner goals turned off, I find them to not be well done. Just humble opinion of someone always accused of thinking OOTP is perfect.

If it's something that needs to be fixed it's a bug (literally impossible = bug. almost impossible = is not a bug). A bug is the game NOT working as intended. Wiki is not, nor should it be for bug reporting. There is a forum here for that, along with a way to report issues to tech support if one feels the need.

If in the owner's goals one wants to mention in Wiki that some are almost impossible, cool. Any owner goals that cannot be done due to being impossible should go be reported in the bug forum and removed or fixed.

No, it does not. The Wiki is to tell how the game is actually supposed to work not make bugs or features that have been neglected or are not working right, considered normal! You do not seem to know how the Wiki is supposed to be. When talking about owner goals you explain them, now how they might have been broken with code changes over the years. That's is what us beta testers get fixed and I for sure do not want to have to fix the Wiki because dumb stuff is put in, that does not help the situation.

This line right here Brad, is perfect and should be an example of WHY what you proposed should NOT end up in the Wiki. It is a bug and the game NOT working as intended. However, right now owner goals are not a big priority and AFAIK does not make or break the game in anyway besides your owner getting mad at you and sending you nasty emails telling you how upset he is with you.

Folks, I didn't say anything about reporting errors in the Wiki. Nothing. All I said was that Twins described how the game worked. How the game works is what the Wiki is about.

Additionally no one in a position to know has stated whether impossible goals are a feature or a bug. Yet the assumption here is that it's a bug. Why? Reality is MLB owners ask for stupid stuff and impossible stuff. People aren't saying the OOTP owners asking for stupid stuff is a bug. So how is them asking for impossible stuff automatically considered a bug?

Please tell me this is not the way you think... As there is no common sense in it. Stuff like this is not absolute as you think and NO, it does not belong in the Wiki!

Back in OOTP 21 it was pretty easy to do owner goals. However, as the game and code has changed over the past 5 years, some parts were not updated with it. So no, just because it is how the game is, it would be false info and we do not put in false info because the feature needs to be updated. It is a BUG or more as a feature that needs to be updated to go with all the code changes over the past few years.

The first issue is whether impossible goals are a bug or a feature. General speculation about coding does not provide an answer. If someone in a position to know says one way or another then the issue is resolved. That hasn't happened.

Attempts to demean my thought process are irrelevant to resolving the issue.

I already explained the situation. These goals at one time WERE easy to finish but with new code changes, it made some of the goals no longer able to be completed! So, no, the reason they are impossible is because code over the years and the lack of updating cause the issue so it is a bug but it is not a game breaking bug and one that is low on the totem pole. So, therefore does not need to be added to the wiki.
