Year to Year
Started playing from 1960. No trades, no money. All seasons enabled for Amateur Draft. Just hit 1975 and AI just changed all teams Rotations to include a closer. Interesting. Wonder what year and if it will change to 5 Man Rotation from 4.

I've just noticed this recently too...
Playing out from a 72' start, I found closers in 75'. I thought that those changes didn't take place, so I'm happily surprised...

The AI puts more pitchers on the active roster as you travel through time too. In the mid to late 70s you start seeing 11-12 pitchers instead of 10.

That's probably due to the small automatic league evolution you get as you progress from year to year. You still don't get schedule length changes or expansion, but the small, team strategy stuff changes. Teams may also start stealing, hit/running, etc. more or less as the years progress.
At least, I think so.
