Game could not be activated, please try again in a few minutes

The title sums up my problem as I've seen the same error code all night long. I've tried copying and pasting, as well as manuel entry. Not sure what the problem could be as the Beta is updated to the most current version.

I am running it on a Mac through a Wineksin wrapper, but judging from other topics and posts this shouldn't be effecting anything as its working for everyone else. I've also gone through other steps suggested in other topics (Offline entry,etc) but nothing has worked

Any idea what I could do and/or who I could email in terms of fixing this problem?

I suppose you made sure that you are not copying the code with a space on the beginning or the end of it and that you are really sure that you are copying the right code (it should be something starting with "FHM").
It happened to me once that I tried to enter Order # instead of Serial Number...

Checked that, and yes I'm using the right code. Starts with FHM2014

I'll point Sebastian over here when he comes back online - he's been handling the activation issues, although I don't think we've had any in the last couple of weeks.

Just to clarify, since you mentioned updating - you've installed using the original setup file, then updated first before trying to activate it? Or did you just download and install the updated file?

UPDATE: Got curious and started thinking it was a problem with my wrapper on Wineskin and/or Mac, so I tried licensing it on a PC and what would you know? It worked.

I think I'm going to have to get Bootcamp in order for this to work, but $33 plus all those additional chargers for software is a steep price to pay for a Beta. Oh well.

If anyone has any advice on how I might get it to work on Wineskins it would be greatly appreciated.

But you're not buying a Beta, you're pre-order the game (release in Sept) and getting access to the Beta now.

If you haven't seen the FHM & Macs thread already, you might want to have a look over there, those guys may have some Wineskin advice.

Thanks, I took a look last night but didn't find anything. I'll keep digging because I'd rather use Wineskin then spend $200 on Windows

Another Update: I decided to tinker around with Wineskin and I created a blank wrapper with only the bare requirements, and for some odd reason.. It worked...

I'm a little mind effed but at least its working now. Thanks for the help
