Calling all managers-line up depth chart advice

Hey all, third year playing for me. I really want to get into the GM and manager role this year, I felt ready to finally. I am pretty good on the DL and pulling guys up and down. My main road block is, when someone gets hurt and I DL them, I don't think I'm making use of the in game tools to update my depth chart and lineup. Is there a comfortable way any of you have found? I know it's pretty straight forward to do for the four scenarios, but is there a streamline way across all of them? I like to use the same lineup vs left and right handed pitching but then also going into the vs non dh kind of gets me mucked up.
