Online League Creation Issues
Downloaded this game specifically to create an online league with friends and it has proven to be absolute HELL. First I had to learn what FTP's were, then how to make one, then how to host one properly. I then had to learn about port forwarding and disabling firewalls. I then had to learn about how to get others to access it. 8 hours later....I finally have everything set up, others can remotely edit folders and files that are in the FTP server. Now OOTP keeps giving me the error "Unable to write to the location, check the folder permissions." I have turned off every firewall on my PC. I have forwarded almost every port on my router. I have tried both active and passive mode in the FTP settings and in OOTP. I can write to the folders from other networks, so I know it works. OOTP just can't.
So I have a few questions. 1. What am I doing wrong? 2. Why is it so difficult to set up a basic online file sharing function? 3. Why is the online manual for "league setup" not include anything about FTP's besides "Put the info here". There is NOWHERE on the website or manual for FAQ's or troubleshooting. 4. I had OOTP open for 8+ hours troubleshooting this issue and therefore cannot receive a refund on Steam for my purchase. So will you offer me a refund if this issue continues to go unfixed? And my final question: WHY DO YOU HATE YOUR CONSUMERS THAT ARE NOT COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJORS?!?!?!! Just make a host server on your end, it's not that expensive to keep up. Unfortunately setting up our own servers is not an option for multiple reasons, but we are willing to help out a bit with the process of setting things up. If you submit a support ticket here or by sending an email to support@ootpdevelopments.com the support guys will do what they can to help you get started.

You should get any replies to the email address you used when submitting the ticket. Given that it's the weekend, it's possible the support guys have not responded yet if you submitted late in the week.
If you created an account on the support site, you should also be able to log in there and check the status, though if you just sent an email to create the ticket, that likely won't work. https://support.ootpdevelopments.com/portal/en/signin

I don't know if it's the same problem you are having, but regarding folder permissions, I found out that that is a problem when connecting to a hotspot or public wifi. I recently couldn't download a league file while using my phone as a hotspot, as I kept getting a message about checking my permissions. Then I searched all the way back to a 2013 email from my original server host, and it said there might be problems like this when the connection is hotspot or public. The next day, when I had my normal wifi running in my apartment again, the issue was solved.
