Gold league:

Columbia made the most of their OL games this season, nearly pulling off perfection as they went 10-1 against OL competition to grab the Gold tier crown.

Overall, Columbia will represent OL in the AC conference in the wild card round; while Greenland and Waffletown will play in separate wild card games in the NC.

Auckland will head back to Silver next season

I think one problem we might run into is the fact that there might not be a lot of players still actively checking their teams (even once a week), so getting those friends lists updated might be hard to pull new teams into the mix (especially at lower levels).... you'll probably need to get to Iron to see much OL action

and we're probably only a couple months at most from the release of V24 (assuming they go with an opening day release and hit that target), so not much time left in V23 before everyone disappears and either migrates to V24 or wanders off to do other things

North Bay holds off Bordeaux to capture the OL I254 title. The Blizzard have qualified to advance to Bronze for the 2062 season.

I also made a comment about pack luck (so I guess posting is the best means to success) and that changed dramatically this morning when not only did I win a daily tournament but I pulled Christmas LE Rickey Henderson with the proceeds (i would have guessed they had all been given out by now)! I will play him in the playoffs and make a decision later today on whether to keep (could obviously use him but I could get a few starters out of the proceeds as well)
A pretty good sunday for team Quinta! Keep or sell is always a nice dilemma to have . Mount Hawke actually broke their 6 month drought, too, with a Lou Boudreau. Crikey!

Diamond League

Congratulations to the Shinbone Stars!

Mount Hawke and Quinta were so locked into their own epic battle, they may not have noticed the Stars running away with it!

The Fiasco and the Tinners get one more chance to settle the bragging rights, for the chance to take on the NC's heavyweight.

Greenland drop back to Gold.

Gold league:

Thanks to a strong push in the final month of the season (10-5 in OL play / 19-8 overall), Waffletown barely edged out Coney Island for the OL crown (.007 difference), as well as snagged the division crown for a post season spot.

Overall, Waffletown and Tintagel will be the lone OL representatives in the playoffs (on opposite sides of the tree, so longshot potential for an all-OL finals).

Mevagissey will head back to Silver next season

Baltimore captures the OL B260 title. North Bay and Terra Incognita are on track to meeting one another in the CS.

Grovers Mill wins a closely-fought OL I249 title. The Invaders and Deckers have already been eliminated from the playoffs, as Bordeaux advances and will move to Bronze next season.

Quinta are into the Diamond Series and have a great chance of going all the way, what with Pedro, Honus, et al. Quinta (the person) has clearly been busy this week! Given me a kick up the bum to spend a load of points

Good luck in the finals!

Yes I had a lucky run in the playoffs where I ended up with the home field advantage in the WS despite being a wildcard. I did get lucky against the two best teams in my conference particularly in the WC playoff with Mount Hawke (and the best teams in the other conference lost in earlier rounds).

I have dramatically improved my team in the last week--it was busy. Luck does happen. I can take a small part of the credit by saying I have very slowly been trying to complete the Cooperstown Collection but this past week it was really setup by the lucky pull of Christmas Rickey. I sold him last Sunday and turned that PP pile into finishing CC missions. I also got a few players on Friday with the last Milestone missions based on a one-time cashing out of excess inventory.

I will be in Perfect this week and back to Diamond with a dramatically lowered career win percentage to compete in OL next week.

I plan on hanging around trying to get Willie Mays and after that will say goodbye. I wish I could have been a more helpful OL player this year but being OOTP GO only meant I could not do standings. Thanks for all the work that Tinkerman, Jason, and Rev do--I genuinely appreciate it.

I think you earned that championship! Hope it's a decent week for you.

Would have been great to have your team onboard earlier, but they rocked up at a good time to bulk up the OL fixtures, so have been well appreciated.
