First Timer - Just Bought OTTP '25

Hey Everyone,

I'm a lifelong baseball fan, and I just discovered OTTP on Steam. I've been playing Football Manager for 5 years, so I'm somewhat familiar with simulators, and I'm hoping that will help me with OTTP.

I just wanted to introduce myself to the community and I'd like to get your advice for first time players. I watched OTTPaddys beginner guide, but I'd still like to get hear what you all in the community have to say.

Also, I do like modding. In Football Manager, I regularly download database/roster updates along with skins, and training schedules. Any recommendations for this would be much appreciated.
