Milestone Watch

Please add to the news Milestones! It would be cool to see the star player hit his 400th Homerun or Strike Out 3500!
We have Milestone watch but no recognition of the milestone. Why not include in the news?

I just had Mel Ott hit his 400th home run in my random debut league. I got a news story. Jim Thome hit is 300th and there was a news story. I have 3 pitchers in my league that have 200 wins. There was a news story for each of them when they won game number 200. By chance, do you have the news filter narrowed to only news about your team and organzation?

I checked everything, looks Ok, I must not have any one who is near the milestones. But I just had a pitcher get his 300 save and I got a news story. So the milestones work.

But....
I think maybe I am wanting to have "more" news about career marks that are just not milestones, since the milestones are limited. In the Milestone page HRs have 200 HR 250 HR and 300HR which is where I have the Milestone set. What if a player hits 200 HRs? News story?

Do you know how the Homerun Milestone levels are created? Looks like Homeruns have different milestones than in the League Settings Milestone.
200 HRs 250 HRs and 300 HRs which is where it is set in League Settings.

I wonder if I will get news message if a player hits 200 homeruns?

From the OOTP Wiki:
Milestone Settings:
The Milestone Settings section allows you to specify the "milestone" levels of several individual stats. Surpassing those levels will be considered newsworthy in the game.

Do you get a news story if a player breaks the career record but it isn't a milestone? If not, I think you should.

I do get some random news, like "player hits homerun, now 15th most in history".

I think I wonder if we could set more levels of milestone, like the homeruns. I can't find anything in the game settings where those levels were set, but not other milestones like hits.

I think it's the options page, right below the section where the Hall of Fame requirements are set, there's a section in which you can set what the game will use for milestones. I think the defaults are 2000 for hits, 1000 runs, 1000 rbi, 300 home runs, 200 wins, 2000 or 2500 strikeouts and I want to say 300 saves. You can also select what the game will list in terms of pitcher win on the history page. The default is set to 20 games. On the achievements page, the game will list all 20 game winners through history. Same can be done for single season home runs. I think the default is set to 50.

I was more interested in "why homeruns have several levels and the other milestones do not". I was thinking there was a setting somewhere that had levels of milestones, but I do not see anything. So why are there levels in homeruns? .........maybe everybody loves homeruns!
