Norwwod Streak Ends but Lead Holds in OL G320

The Diamonders showed a small bit of vulnerability, posting a series loss to Weston Pointe, and finally being solved by Waffletown, but they maintained their hold on the top spot. Palolo ripped through their schedule and is beginning to loom in Norwood's rear view mirror.

K-Town Holds onto Lead in OL S272

The Rock Piles held firm against the challenges of Annandale and Hooterville, but the latter promise a spirited race down the stretch.

There are no teams currently in relegation danger.

Goodbye, and thanks.

I'm sure we all share NicoNico's sentiment in wishing you a fond farewell. I have to admit that I share your disappointment in the turn PT has taken. I wish I had the ear of one of the OOTP team. It would be great to see the friends list expand in size and use. If they could group friends together regardless of presumed level, so that a complete league of like minded folks was possible, I could envision a gathering of players willing to limit rosters in draft-like way, which would, over a few weeks, cut down on the assembly line rosters, and make it possible to have some league success with a wide variety of players. I can't imagine that happening, though.

In any event, thanks for your efforts guys. I'm glad you're hanging in there, Edster, and also that Magus will leave behind a couple of ghost teams.

I am going to keep managing Jefferson Valley on a regular basis. I am going on vacation for 2 weeks during that time I am not going to be very active as I want/need some time away from the computer. After I post the final Bronze standings Sunday I will be gone for two weeks, occasionally checking the board through the app. The Rebels will still be an OL entry.

I am just going to (already have) set Coney Island to random for no other reason than I am not going to be paying attention to them. If you all want me to keep them in to take up a slot I am happy to set them back to use friends list. I can even keep the friends list and remove the OL-just let me know by Sunday.

To Stanley's point if they allowed us to setup a league and grouped the same players to together every week I think it would be a way regenerate my interest. I often thought of that, using a rating cap to keep the playing field level with no promotion or relegation.

Death Valley leads a very tightly contested I218 race. Only cellar-dwelling Ft. Huachuca is out of contention, but only because they won't have enough OL games to qualify.

yeah, short of a PT off-shoot that would allow you to use PT teams/cards in an online-style league that auto-runs like standard PT does now, and would allow 30 teams/friends to remain in their own league; it probably won't happen....

been mulling over creating a QS using PT teams/logos/etc... perhaps making an OL league, BFF league, DLL league, etc. for some of the various 'friends' leagues... wouldn't be the same as a PT league that runs on its own, but could be fun to tinker with....

New thread

I've posted a new thread in the "Suggestions for PT 22" area of the forum where I have asked that they consider a Friends List option which locks teams into the same league regardless of the level of talent or promotion/relegation hierarchy.

I ask that you read it and add your own thoughts to it, in the hopes of getting the developers' attention. I think it would be possible, if we could get a whole league together from the start that we could come to agreements about rosters that would limit, maybe even avoid, having so many players repeated across teams. It would entail a few more rules to agree to, but I think it could keep interest up and give the league a solid sense of identity.

Just a thought. I'd appreciate yours.

I've added my thoughts about Perfect Team supporting Online Leagues with a League Commissioner so that rules can be setup, etc.

Stone 135 Update

Both the El Dorado Aztecs and Ciudad Trujillo Dragones lead their respective divisions. The Iron Maiden Wasted Years are still in the Wild Card race.

Although the Dragones are in a separate league and no regular season OL games, there is a possibility of an OL World Series matchup.

it's not PT, but there's a separate 'online league' section if you're looking to join something like that:

I was in a hurry this morning, so a quick correction. The Buffalo Soldiers will have enough games to qualify, and still have a chance to win it all. However, Death Valley still has control of their path to the title. The Devils play an important 2-game series with Vlora in the next hour, then finish their OL schedule with a 3-game set against Asheboro.

Chicago is the only OL team in a relegation spot, while Death Valley, Brooklyn and Ft. Huachuca are all slated for the playoffs.

Bronze

Ring Road sweeps a four game series vs the Rebels to take the lead. The teams both have six games left. They meet for 3 in Jefferson Valley and both teams have three vs Cochise County. Transylvania has 10 games today and is still alive but will need help.

Not much has changed in PT play. Ring Road, Jefferson Vally and Transylvania lead their divisions. Blitzkrieg is holding the second WC in a tight race. Currently Sierra Vista and Cochise County are facing relegation.

Diamonders Keep Their Hold in OL G320

Norwood still remains the pace setter, with only Palolo posing any threat in the crown chase. Both teams have six OL games left to play.

K-Town Close to Clinching in OL S272

The Rock Piles have only a three-game home series left to play, hosting Hooterville for the first three days of September. Their task is straight forward - win two and capture the crown. A Haymaker sweep would open the door for both Hooterville and second place Annandale. The Atom Smasher have six left and the Haymakers nine.

There are still no teams in relegation territory.

While I think the idea is awesome and I would sign on in a second, my fear is that it is to niche for the devs to invest their time and energy for something that is basically an online league but using PT cards. The only way I see it possible is if we could somehow export our PT rosters and create and online league using those cards. In the current setup, and I am by no means a coder having 95%+ of PT running as it does today with promotions and relegation and 5% or less sticking exclusively to friends sounds like it would be a nightmare.

If you see the Puppies with some new players don't worry. I am still F2P. I just won a card in a tournament that I sold on the AH.

Arrow Live Card Ratings Updates

Does anyone have a clue as to when the Live card ratings will be updated next?

Does OOTP advertise this anywhere?

Thanks

Waffletown *finally* pulls a perfect card from a pack..... Live Scherzer, so won't be showing up on the roster, but at least he'll bring in a 20K minimum addition to the war chest

on the cusp of relegation back to silver.... we'll see if they can manage to seal the deal (not going to complain if I can ensure I get away from Norwood next season )
