Penn State Narrowly Wins National League Big Ten:

It was far from a foregone conclusion, but the Penn State Nittany Lions are now champions of the National League Big Ten.

"We battled, day in and day out," said starting pitcher Vern Olsen. "This is one to savor, as it was close right down to the end and that puts a lot of pressure on a team."

With a record of 98-64, the Nittany Lions have officially won their 2nd division crown.

Manager R.J. Anaya said there's "a lot of pride and excitement" involved in coming out on top of the National League Big Ten.

The club will now be looking to win the 1st NCAA championship in franchise history.

Knights Win Tight National League American Race:

Winning a division is always special, but winning it in the final days of the season is especially so, according to members of the UCF Knights.

The National League American club has secured top spot late in the season and catcher Larry Sheets said it's certainly a relief.

"We would have liked to have won it sooner, but as long as you get it done, that's all that matters," he said.

The club has a 99-63 and its their 2nd division crown. The Knights will be looking for their 1st NCAA championship.

Musketeers Sit Atop National League Big East:

The Xavier Musketeers have held off the opposition and are National League Big East champions.

It was certainly no easy task as the club had a tough challenge for the division crown throughout the year, but in the end they have prevailed for the franchise's 2nd division title.

"You can't get complacent when the standings are as close as they are, so our guys have been focused," manager Luis Lopez said of his team's triumph. "We're going to celebrate this one, that's for sure."

The club will be going for its 2nd College World Series and optimism is running high.

"Why not us? We can certainly win this thing," said center fielder George Gore.

Cardinal Win Tight National League Pac 12 Race:

The Stanford Cardinal have silenced their critics, backed up those who believed in them and won the National League Pac 12.

"You always think you've got a chance to win the division, but until you get it done you never really know how things are going to play out," said closer Tom Henke. "I think we're all grateful to get the chance to vie for the College World Series."

It is the 1st division crown for the franchise and manager Sean Chenoweth said in a sporting landscape where you are judged by what you've most recently accomplished, "it feels incredibly good to be at the top of the pile."

Marshall Narrowly Wins American League CUSA:

The Marshall Thundering Herd have won their division, but have a much larger goal in mind.

"No one will look back on this season and remember the American League CUSA champions. People will remember the College World Series champions," said manager Jaime Hornbaker. "That's what this is all about, but of course we needed this first to get there."

The club's division win is the 2nd for the franchise and they will be seeking their 1st College World Series.

Cobb Celebrates .438 BA:

Coaches tell ballplayers that the best hitters make an out 7 times out of 10. That's 3 base hits per 10 at-bats. To average 4 base hits per 10 at-bats, well, that only happens for the best of the best -- the .400 hitters.

Cal Poly left fielder Ty Cobb certainly qualifies as one of the best. He hit an astronomical .438 this season. "He's the best pure hitter I've ever seen," his manager said. "And I've been around some great players."

His numbers this year also included 55 doubles, 6 triples and 82 home runs. The newest member of baseball's .400 Club also scored 177 times and batted in 185 runs.

Cal Poly Star Is Triple Crown Winner:

Ty Cobb of the Cal Poly Mustangs joined an elite class of hitters this year when he won the 4th Triple Crown in NCAA history.

He paced all American League hitters in all three categories with a .438 batting average, 82 home runs and 185 RBIs. To add to those impressive numbers, he also had 262 hits, 55 doubles, 6 triples and scored 177 times during the season.

"The 2027 season was really special for Ty. Everything clicked for him this year. He is an exceptional player," the Mustangs skipper told BNN reporters.

Dunlap Hits .390 to Earn NL Crown:

He may only be 25 years old, but Fred Dunlap has already established himself as an elite NCAA player.

The Wichita State Shockers star posted a .390 batting average this year, which won him the National League batting crown.

"I can't even believe it, to be honest," he told Baseball News Network.

His fantastic campaign consisted of 228 hits, 70 doubles, 2 triples and 31 home runs for the year. In 152 games Dunlap added 107 RBIs and scored 120 runs.
