Asylum Plays Short Schedule to Perfection in OL G359

The Keepers, despite a moribund overall PT record, have parlayed their limited OL schedule into the lead thus far.

Four teams fly over .600 in Bronze

Daytona Beach still leads, but there is competition with Death Valley and Transylvania in particular.

The good news for Otonokizaka is that they are currently 23-13 in non-OL play.

Brooklyn Opens Gaps in OL S337

The Untouchables put a little space between themselves and a pack of five chasers in the season's third month.

Flatbush Streaks to Top of OL G359

The Red Hooks dominated Jefferson Valley, 7-0, and Port Ruppert, 7-2, to take the lead over a half dozen challengers.

Red Hooks Logo

I realized I didn't have your logo and clipping them from the game page often yields poor results, so I came up with this.

It also got me to playing

I like to play with graphics, so I messed around a bit and came up with this. It also sent me to the subway map to see how to get from Red Hook to Flatbush. I haven't lived in New York since 1991 and many things have changed. The RR train is now the R and the Lawrence St. station is now Jay St.-MetroTech, which I guess means you'd have to take the F from Red Hook to there and walk over to the R train. I only remember Lawrence St because it was one stop from DeKalb Ave(time to wake up), where we would disembark to walk down to Brooklyn Tech (class of '71).

This logo was purely for nostalgia.

Death Valley in the Lead in OL B318

Death Valley, winners of 6 of their last 7 OL games, powered to the top of the OL B318 standings. Despite an anemic offense that ranks 13th in the league in runs scored, the Devils have scored effectively in OL play.

Otonokizaka, meanwhile, is spending this Thanksgiving being grateful for Ft. Huachuca, the only OL team over which they have a winning record.

Flatbush Holds on as Shinbone Threatens in OL G359

The Red Hooks came back a little as the Stars inched further toward the top heading into the back stretch. Asylum, Cary, and Weston Pointe continued to remain in the hunt.

Brooklyn Leads Crowded Field in OL S337

Unless one team goes on a dominating streak, the race promises to go down to the wire with a packed field of contenders. At this point, only Ring Road and Terra Incognita would seem to have little chance.

Death Valley Continues Torment of OL B318

Daytona Beach is trying to keep Death Valley in sight, but the Devils are continuing their torrid pace.

Flatbush's Big Month Strengthens Grip on OL G359

The Red Hooks ripped off a 9-3 month to remain solidly in the driver's seat as the gold crown chase enters the stretch run. With six games remaining, the squad from Kings County can close it out with a 5-1 record in the final month. The games remaining by team (with the magic number for elimination in bold) are:

FRH- 3 vs. JVR, 3 vs. SHS
SHS(6)- 3 @ FRH, 4 vs. WAC, 3 @ CAS, 3 @ ILF
CAS(6)- 4 vs. CIW, 3 vs. SHS, 4 vs. WAS, 3 @ WAS,
WPC(4)- 4 vs. CIW, 4 @ SHS, 3 vs. CIW
ASK(3)- 3 @ JVR, 4 vs. PRM
CIW(1)- 4 A WPC, 4 vs. CAS, 3 vs. ILF, 3 vs. WPC

Krikkit Clicks in August to Gain Top Spot in OL S337

The War Robots rang up a 9-5 record to edge in front of the even hotter El Dorado Aztecs, 9-3, as the eight-way race in silver barrels toward home. I didn't bother with magic number calculations (hurts my head) given the many permutations possible. Krikkit, with just three games left to play, could sweep and still fall short because there are four teams with more than 10 games remaining. Even slumping Brooklyn, which suffered a 3-8 August, and fell from first to eighth, has a busy enough schedule to surpass a perfect month by the War Robots by going 12-1. Fasten your seatbelts!

Games remaining:

KWR- 3 vs. BRU
EDA- 3 @ RRR, 3 @ BRU, 3 vs. SSG
CTD- 3 @ TIR
NRM- 4 @ BRU
SSG- 3 @ EFC, 3 vs. EFC, 3 vs. VWS, 3 @ EDA
HOH- no games remaining, eliminated
EFC- 1 vs. VWS, 3 vs. SSG, 3 vs. TIR, 3 @ ssg, 3 vs. VWS
BRU- 3 @ RRR, 3 vs. EDA, 3 @ KWR, 4 vs. NRM

Death Valley Turns Up the Heat in OL B318

Death Valley is on the brink of capturing the flag in OL B318, with Hartford and Vlora maintaining a statistical, but unrealistic shot at overtaking the Devils.

Death Valley Takes the Title in OL B318

Death Valley ran away with the Bronze crown. A battle for second saw Blitzkrieg claim the runner-up spot.

Six OL teams in the playoffs. Cochise County and Ft. Huachuca will be relegated.

Flatbush Cruises to Crown in OL G359

The Red Hooks closed out the 2055 campaign in style, winning five of six down the stretch, including a three game sweep over runner-up Shinbone.

Weston Pointe is the only playoff team as OL took it on the chin in gold, with five teams headed back to silver. Jefferson Valley's OL swan song was a sad one, as the Warriors were also relegated. The Coney Island entry will also be leaving. Take it easy, Edster.

War Robot Nearly Run Out of Wiggle Room in OL S337

Krikkit needed every bit of it's cushion in the crowded 2055 race, holding onto the slimmest of margins by winning just one of three games against Brooklyn to secure the crown. The Untouchables, 9-4, and South Side, 8-4, each came up short despite solid final runs.

OL is well represented in the playoffs. Vlora and Ring Road are headed back to bronze.

Iron and Diamond Update

Here's hoping we get standings from iron, which had five OL teams. I'm guessing OMGpuppies will post diamond later.

Here's the playoff and relegation outlook:

D353 - Laramie and Palolo in playoffs, Hidden Valley headed to gold.
I161 - Sierra Vista and Cat Town in playoffs, no relegations.
