Can we get a FG for Bryce Rainer, JJ Wetherholt, and Hagen Smith? Also was wondering if anyone had one for Yohandy Morales?
Many thanks!!! Last edited by negroleagueenthusiast; 05-26-2024 at 10:00 AM. |

Could we get a couple of "zombie" corrections for Duane Josephson (josepdu01) and Jose Herrera (herrejo01)? They look a bit grey.

One I can do fast... both of them should be in the last universal pack (not sure what was the season cut for the last one but both had their first season in the sixties), I post the ones I did for the pack here for you.

Those two are in the updated pack of two weeks ago. If not showing, ensure it is installed and that you update the faces to refresh the cache. I'll get to the draft picks over this long weekend.

Thanks! I haven't downloaded the pack since OOTP25's release, but I have both of these guys on my expansion San Diego Padres. So, the quick fix is appreciated. I'll download the updated pack soon.

Yes it's what I send for the universal pack but you don't need to wait for the main file to be updated.

Bryce Rainer
Bryce Rainer #10 MLB Pipeline Draft Class 2024
Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 60 | Run: 55 | Arm: 60 | Field: 50 | Overall: 60 Before the 2024 high season began, people looked at Rainer as an exciting two-way player. The Harvard-Westlake standout showed off skills in the box and on the mound during the summer showcase circuit and performed double duty for USA Baseball’s 18U team in international competition. The consensus was that while Rainer seemed to want to hit, scouts thought he had tremendous upside on the mound, albeit shown in smaller samples. The Rainer who showed up for his senior season, however, was bigger, stronger and faster. He was the best player at the National High School Invitational this spring and while he still pitches a little, he’s vaulted himself to the top half of the Draft as a position player. Rainer has a ton of tools in all directions. At 6-foot-3 and listed at 195 pounds, he has a strong and projectable body. While his swing used to get long at times, with a tendency to wrap the bat behind his head, a stronger Rainer has shown the ability to make consistently hard contact from the left side of the plate. He had the top four exit velocities at the NHSI in April and has shown he can drive the ball to all fields. He sticks to a game plan and doesn’t chase or strike out, allowing him to tap into what could be plus power in the future. There are no longer questions about where he might play defensively. He ran and moved better at shortstop over the summer than some expected, a trend that continued this spring, recording plus run times occasionally and showing he has every chance to stick at the premium position. His easily plus arm that fires mid-90s fastballs from the mound (with a good breaking ball) works from all parts of the infield and if for some reason he had to move to third, he could be a Gold Glove caliber defender there. Like most big left-handed hitting shortstops, the Texas recruit has garnered some Corey Seager comps, and there’s a good chance he lands in the top half of the first round. - mlbpipeline When he gets a BBR Historical Minors ID, I will rename the file in the pack. This was the best I could do with him. He smiles all the time and as a HS kids, limited pics.

JJ Wetherholt
JJ Wetherholt - #8 - Draft Class 2024
Scouting grades: Hit: 70 | Power: 50 | Run: 60 | Arm: 50 | Field: 50 | Overall: 60 A Pittsburgh area native, Wetherholt stayed in the region by heading to West Virginia for college ball. He had a solid freshman season then broke out as a sophomore, winning the Division I batting title and earning Big 12 Conference Player of the Year after hitting .449/.517/.787 with 16 homers and 36 steals. He performed well both for Team USA and in a brief stint in the Cape Cod League to set the stage for a big junior season. Excitement for an encore has been dashed as a recurring hamstring issue that first cropped up over the summer has sidelined him repeatedly this spring. Wetherholt might be the best pure hitter in the class and there are some area scouts who think he’s the best amateur bat they’ve ever seen. The left-handed hitter drives the ball to all fields with authority with excellent pitch recognition and elite bat-to-ball skills that resulted in a miniscule 10 percent miss rate in 2023 with the Mountaineers. He has shown the ability to hit the ball over the fence in all directions and should have at least average power at the next level. A plus runner who is a legitimate base-stealing threat when healthy, the only real question about Wetherholt has been his defensive home. He was hoping to improve that area of his profile by playing shortstop for the first time this spring, but the hamstring issue kept him from seeing too much time on the dirt. Some feel he has the arm and feel to do it, while he’ll have to focus on being consistent in making the routine plays. Even if he profiles as a second baseman, though, his bat belongs near the top of Draft boards. - mlbpipeline Also a smiler. I closed his mouth at the expense of some detail.

Hagen Smith
Hagen Smith - #6 - Draft Class 2024
Scouting grades: Fastball: 65 | Slider: 65 | Splitter: 50 | Control: 50 | Overall: 60 After blowing out his elbow as a high school sophomore and having Tommy John surgery, Smith bounced back to tie a Texas prep record with seven no-hitters as a senior in 2021. He might have factored in the top three rounds that July if not for his strong commitment to Arkansas. He has better stuff than any southpaw in this Draft and could be the first pitcher selected after finding more consistency this spring. Smith operates at 94-97 mph and touches 100 with his fastball, which plays up because his funky delivery creates deception and riding action. His best offering is an 83-87 mph slider, which features sweep and depth while destroying lefties and keeping righties at bay, and he also can turn it into a cutter that reaches 91 mph. He uses an upper-80s splitter as a change of pace, and while he struggles to locate it well, it has intriguing tumble when it's on. Smith employs far from a textbook delivery, working from a low-three-quarters slot with some crossfire that makes it tough to pick up his pitches and also to throw strikes at times. He has improved his control and performance in 2024, highlighted by striking out 17 over six innings on just 78 pitches against Oregon State, with some evaluators calling it the most dominant game they ever had seen. He has a strong 6-foot-3, 225-pound frame built for durability and could become a frontline starter if he continues to harness his stuff. - mlbpipeline.com I had to close his mouth as well.

Should be in a couple of days since I just ended the 1978 Astros, I won't start 1979 since the new patch will hit soon and you know how I can't wait to finally play the game since I haven't really did since the 23 version

Yohandy Morales
Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 60 | Run: 45 | Arm: 60 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55
Ranked as the No. 131 prospect in the 2020 Draft, Morales had a strong commitment to the University of Miami and went undrafted in the shortened process as a result. He was a three-year performer for the Hurricanes -- with some Team USA time sprinkled in -- and enjoyed his best spring as a junior in 2023, slashing .408/.475/.713 with 20 homers in 61 games. The Nationals selected Morales (now ranked 20th in his second class) in the second round of the 2023 Draft and went above slot to sign him for $2.6 million. Morales experienced four levels of Washington's system in his first taste of the pros, going 58-for-166 (.349) while finishing out at Double-A Harrisburg. Washington officials were excited that they were able to take Morales with their second pick and that they were able to add his significant raw power to their rebuild. The right-handed slugger can be aggressive as he tries to lean into that power, and he experienced some swing-and-miss in college, especially against breaking stuff as a junior. Still, Morales was trending in the right direction with his hit tool in school and struck out only 19 percent of the time in his early taste of the pros, adding to the belief he’ll be an average hitter thanks to his screaming line drives and other loud contact. Morales was a shortstop as an amateur and still retains some of that athleticism. The Nationals drafted him as a third baseman, and he certainly has the arm strength for that position. However, the presence of Brady House at the hot corner has pushed Morales to more full-time duty across the dirt at first base. He could still see time at both corners, but the need for Morales’ power to play is heightened if he remains at first for the long term. - mlbpipeline.com by request.

Angel Martinez
Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 45 | Run: 55 | Arm: 55 | Field: 55 | Overall: 45
Signed for $500,000 out of the Dominican Republic in 2018, Martínez grew up around the game as the son of former big league catcher Sandy Martínez. His high baseball IQ has led to a series of aggressive assignments, allowing him to reach Triple-A last year at age 21. The Guardians added him to the 40-man roster following the 2022 season and could give him his first taste of the big leagues this summer. Martínez has posted middling numbers in the upper levels of the Minors, in part because he got there so quickly but also because he has gotten more aggressive and pull-happy. A switch-hitter, he's at his best when he works counts and uses the entire field. He has a handsy swing from both sides of the plate and should focus on making contact and getting on base while letting his 15-homer power come naturally. There were some questions about Martínez's speed and arm strength when he entered pro ball, but he worked on improving and is now solid in both regards. He's an instinctive defender with quick, reliable hands who grades as solid at second and third base and average at shortstop. Because Cleveland has an abundance of infielders, it plans on introducing him to the outfield in 2024 to increase his versatility even more. As requested, (and I had done him 4 days ago, so it was easy to post it and not have folks wait for it to be in the next upload). I closed his mouth before making the fg. Thanks for asking!

Just a fast message to let you know that my new update is done... everything will be in the next universal pack update (next week I think) but if you want it now just click the link in my signature to get it.
850 or so new FGs for the seventies rookies (minus 1979)... as usual if a player isn't there it's because Lans' FG in the pack was perfectly fine. Of course if you want the big file (1871-1978) this is available too via my signature. Now I take a break from doing FGs (maybe some fix here and there, but no full season for a while) since OOTP25 is completly fixed to be fun to play my way.

Jack (not John) Warner Chicago Cubs 1962-65
Hello,
Jack Warner played off and on in the Cubs system from 1959 to 1965 with call-ups in '62, '63, '64, and '65. Since his legal name is Jack, not John, I'm wondering if his FG has been mislabeled or was never generated. If not generated, could I please get one made of him? Thank you. |
