I am in the 4th season of my franchise, and I'm getting the corrupt file error. I'm using a Galaxy S21 Ultra. The last time I played the game I did an in-game 'Save & Exit'. Next time I tried to switch to the app it wouldn't load. The error in the log file says:
2021-11-10 10:28:02 load_players: Loading players 2021-11-10 10:28:02 load_players: Error 5 2021-11-10 10:28:03 load_database_files: An error occurred while loading the database! Could not load players file Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting the same error and would love if you were able to restore my several-season-old league. I was saving within the game and it hung (I want to say it was at 48%). Not sure why. I have the same error message in the trace:

This morning, I made a bid on a player, won the bid, and he did not show up on my roster. Biz Mackey... Not showing up on the Active or Reserve roster...
Do I need to activate him somehow?

OK, I figured out how to activate a player. Not sure why I have to do that, but he is on the active roster now.

I don't remember anything else unusual, but I can't rule out that I hit a different phone notification during the save process and moved to a different application or something like that. But it just stayed at 48% until I had no choice but to close the app. One thing I was wondering, since it's probably impossible to control for every contingency that can corrupt a save - is it maybe possible for the save process to first back up a copy of the previous save? Then if the save fails, there's something to fall back to. Anyway, thanks again for your help, I am very happy to have my league back. |

Never had this issue before this update
This most recent update (steam version) of ootp 22 is the first time I have had this problem. Old saves will not load, saying they were from an old version of OOTP (21 for example) or corrupted. I made a new save because of this, and when I went to load it for the first time after closing the game, the same issue occurred. The backups I created for these games also come up as corrupted when I attempt to restore from them. I am on the steam version of OOTP 22, running Windows 10, on a computer with plenty of available internal storage and above recommended specs.

I am getting the same messages on my Samsung Tablet TAB S2.. (OOTP GO App) I will attach the pictures of what i am seeing I have no idea how to restore a season as there are no good procedures. Also Noway to see a backup as it doesnt show a Tab heading for Backups..I never got to the All Star game when this happens. I started a New season and it did the same thing..

Cannot load database because it has been created with old version
I have been playing OOTP 22 for thirty seasons now and got an error message that stated "OOTP cannot load this database because it has been created with an earlier version of OOTP. Please use the button "import OOTP 21 to import the database".
OOTP 22 is the only version I've ever used, I don't have OOTP 21 so not sure why this error even happened. I am using the game on my PC from Steam and have never had a problem before and cannot restore any previous save because this game only has one save file nor does any restore feature on Steam work like it does with any other game. Would really appreciate it if any help can be had other than "start a new season" because I won't be playing this game if it still has serious stability issues....my first experience with OOTP and hoping it won't be my last as I was really enjoying the game. |

Can’t start a game
Working on an IPad with 50 gigs of free memory. Started the game. Chose a team. Made a couple trades. Set my lineups. Tried to start the first game in 2022 season and the sound comes on for a few seconds and the game blows up. Takes me back to the main screen of the iPad.
