I appreciate response and the effort. Tho not essential to gameplay, it's a major aesthetic, a key element to the game experience itself that's now compromised.

Player Editor>Picture Functions>Auto-reload picture

I have not seen the splotches since the last patch. If they were there in a game that was started prior to the patch, you may need to refresh the facegens. Instead of clearing them, the patch may just prevent them from occurring anew.

As I read here, I am also having an issue with the "dark" uniforms on the player profiles and team pics. Not a splotchy one, but dark. 3D looks fine.

Many players just have blank images now (black background no face) I have tried force updating / generating, seemingly everything. I'm on Mac if that helps at all.

And stadium fields are often just black textures now.

There was a bug in the version of yesterday that was fixed now, can you report if it's still an issue for version 23.3.60?

Have you changed something that could cause the error? Turned facegen off, changed other settings?

This issue is caused by missing "_n" files. I've fixed profile picture, so the jerseys will not appear grey there, but the right files are still missing.
Can you verify this by taking a look into your saved_games/YOURGAME/jerseys folder and locate (or not) the files with an "_n" at the end of the name?
I would like to find out why that files are missing for you, if it's the case.

Since initial release I have been getting "doll head" players in certain random(?) leagues or levels. So far no global or individual player facegen or uniform reset works.

Latest is Standard MLB game as Detroit Tigers. GM mode, when loaded, all my Personnel from FCL East Manager to the bottom Rookie Hitting Coach are bare head/neck only. The rest seem fine, no more triangle black patches that I have seen.

OK... after mucking around this is what I see with the Tigers. I tend to access the coaches from the Front Office/Personnel/SHOW Entire Organization page.
THIS page is where the FCL and below minor league pictures lack the uniforms. If I go to another view they are all just fine.

Edit: Another tidbit. When I fire one of the FCL or lower coaches, their replacement coach when hired has his uniform showing on the SHOW Entire Organization page now.

Regarding the Facegen Mac issue: when this is fixed, will a new game need to be created for this fix to go into effect? Or will existing games be able to update to the fix.

Wondering if I can finally start playing the game or if I need to continue to wait for a fix since I play the games out in PBP.

Unfortunately it's not fixed yet. It's some bug in the Facegen code. We work with the Facegen team on it, but couldn't solve it yet.

No new game will be requered. The old game will be updated. The bug is that the detail textures are missing for the faces on Macs. After the fix is implemented you can update all player pictures through Game -> Game Settings -> Players & Facegen -> (Force) Update / Generate Player Pictures.
So far you will just see not so pretty faces, or no at all when you diable Facegen until the fix is in.

First off, glad you're feeling better. was in hospital for a week with it.. no fun at all.

The facegens look a whole lot better in FHM 8. Can you loop them into the issue?

Well, that's because FHM 8 still uses the old Facegen. We have not updated it yet. So the new Mac specific bug is not there for now.
After we fix it we will also update FHM's Facegen to the newest version.
