Louis Belloni Jr, New York Knickerbockers, 1859(?) - 1860s
Also served as the president of the club in the 1860s
*Not sure where this one came from but I am unsure about the validity this one. Someone sent this to me in an email back in 2024 but I have no idea what the source is.

J. Smith or L. Gibson? Philadelphia Leisure, 1867
This player is listed as J. Smith as well as L. Gibson in some sources. Actual identity is very unclear so nothing is confirmed as far as that goes, but here is a nice view of what the Leisures uniforms looked like.

Birchard Hayes with the Croghan Base Ball Club in 1871
Son of President Rutherford Hayes, played for the club in 1871, though he was likely with them even before that year. The image gives a great view of what Croghan's uniforms looked like.

Jarvis Wanser, New Brunswick Libertys shortstop, early 1860s
Photo is listed as being from 55 years after the 1861 game on this website but I think it's more likely that the image is from a paper from 1916 since every other source says he died in 1908 https://amanlypastime.blogspot.com/2...und-3.html?m=1

I was missing Hiram's picture so this will fill that void. If you find any other early owners please post them. |
