Asylum played the part of unwelcome guest by taking game one, 6-4, before Shinbone battled back and took the measure of the Keepers, winning the next two games in dramatic fashion.

In game two, Terry Pendleton broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the 10th, blasting a three-run homer off Dick Radatz. The rubber match feature more home run heroics as Orlando Cepeda spoiled a fine route-going performance by Asylum's Dave Stieb, hammering a high fastball into the night in the bottom of the 9th, to make the Stars, 3-2, winners. The teams will meet just once more this season, with a four game set at Sanitarium Hills Stadium in July.

Day one results. Coney Island won their only game but its Kansas at 9-1 that is once again the team to chase.

I don't think the OL crown will be taking the Q train to Stillwell Ave this Sunday. I'll take finishing less than 10 games under .500 in OL play this week as a victory.

Back in the day, used to take the RR to DeKalb Ave. for Brooklyn Tech.

Rookie league update:

Ft Huachuca jumps out to the early lead. While teams in the AC Central will have minimum 57 OL games against each other, the NC conference OL teams might be able to sneak in and claim the crown if they maximize their OL wins in their limited league play.

Looking at my roster, I love my players up the middle....was going to save my points for my first Diamond player, but ended up stabilizing the rotation by picking up 89SE Bucky Walters for 3400, sending Rasmussen to the pen.

Next move is to shore up 3b. Bonilla's bat does not justify his SEVEN defense at 3b, with no real good alternatives on my roster.

Picked up 86SE Mike Lowell for a nice 1799. Ill take the 62 at 3b with the 104 HR power.

I am unsure as to what is going on over there in the Stone 165 League especially in the AC Central Division....

All I see in the League Home screen under Pitcher Leaders is Port Ruppert, Port Ruppert, Port Ruppert, etc.

Boy, I'd sure love to get a hold of some of that "Special Port Ruppert Cool Aid" that Mark is serving to his bull pen, over there!

History was made on May 9th, 2023 at Otonokizaka Girls High School, as Mike Morgan twirls a PERFECT GAME! 27 up, 27 down as the Otonokizaka Muse took the Chatham A's to task in a 5-0 win. Morgan came out of nowhere to win the 2020 AC Pitcher of the Year award in stone.

That's the good side of DeKalb. As long as you don't stray north of Fort Greene towards Bed Stuy or Bushwick... (or south for the matter cause you'll come face to face with the Warriors on their turf.)

I guess things don't change.It was pretty much the same back in the '60's. Nah, who am I kidding? It wasn't nearly as bad back then. We used to sneak out of school to go to Fort Greene Park and buy pot.

Day two has Weston Pointe sitting atop the OL standings with Kansas lurking in second place.

As a side note if you could, I'd ask Cary and Weston Pointe add the + to their team abbreviation. It is really helpful when keeping the OL standings.
