Our League - Season 5

CF has been my Achilles' heel all season, and I just pulled a 99 Joe DiMaggio from my login streak diamond pack. I've been platooning two supposedly bat-first centerfielders who were both hitting under .200 for the season with a combined -0.6 WAR. DiMaggio was 2 for 3 with a double and a home run in his first game. This was a much needed upgrade for the Holy City Hurricanes!

Bordeaux at the top, Terra Incognita yet to get going. Judging by the early records in the league, this could be pretty competitive as the week goes on.

Aomori continues to set the bar high and dare the rest of the OL teams to catch up.

Aceldama will be the team to watch in OL B230. The Butchers are off to a good start and have a minimal OL schedule.

It's been a brutal season in Diamond this year ... hoping to keep our noses above the tide.

Currently a great race for the 2 wild card spots between SC, Doug, Claptown and Mount Hawke - only 2 games separating them.

Congrats!! That's definitely a great pull. That diamond pack was definitely a huge boost, I had pulled a Hank Severeid only a few packs after getting Babe Ruth.

Mid season update. Coney Island is sitting at 61-20 and looking to break free of Rookie league after four weeks. On the other hand it was great for generating points. The team is OL compliant and ready to make its return Monday.

A little disappointing to read people getting called out for tanking for not playing high rated live cards (since we don't use them). I made many points over the years sitting on 98's and 99's that turned into 100's, same with high golds.

I expect them to be looking at refining the anti-tanking system. It's a bit of a blunt instrument. I believe we already lost one potential OL member due to their problems with supposed tanking.

The Rustlers got their season started with a series win to sit top. This is also a league where it seems anything could happen in the second half.

I didn't feel the pain. I got a Soto in one of my starter packs, drew another and had a Judge as well so the second Soto was the only one inactive. They are all sold now. In 22 I hoarded Lucas Giolito's

Only a couple OL games last month... just enough to push Waffletown into the basement where they belong

Port Ruppert stands ready to take over the top spot if Aceldama stumbles in their only OL series of this month. The Butchers take on Savannah in a 3-game set, then travel to Colorado Springs for four games next month, ending their OL season.

Bronze League 211

I've been playing a revolving door with some position players as I have all golds and diamonds everywhere except catcher (silver Mission Iannetta and bronze Garver). I have no power at all in my lineup except from catcher, Trea Turner, and Ruppert Jones, who I just can't keep in the lineup but use as a defensive replacement. I've got a lot of dead ball gold pitchers in my pen and two closers (Hendriks and Izzy), along with a mission Charlton. Right before the break, I got the Nationals Mission for Pedro, so he filled out a 1-4 Diamond rotation, with the fifth spot most likely becoming a revolving door as it's always been for me.

I tend to start the highest rested and sometimes take advantage of the schedule at the break to have a four man rotation. Now, I've got a two-way gold Negro League player who fits that slot, as he is a utility outfielder so no reason to burn him in the pen.

Maybe I'll make the playoffs at bronze after being so lackluster starting in Silver.
