It was the Home Opener and Zane Smith made it one to remember as he pitched the Jays to a 2-1 win over Cleveland!

He joins the club.

In Jim Abbott's first start of the season he pitched well and lost. In his second, he only did the latter.

Cleveland destroyed Toronto, 12-1.

The one Blue Jay run came from a Vincent Ramey home run.

Terry Puhl homered but later left the game with a sore shoulder. We are told it should only require a couple of days.
