I will be adding a team which will be in Rookie League next week: Edster007a Jefferson Valley Rebels.
Meantime Coney Island which scored with pack luck in historic packs, still had points in reserve from selling Trout went out on a limb and used some September call ups to get some players into the auction house early to raise some more capital and work on upgrading and providing depth evenly across the roster. In the purge I am disappointed I had to part with Bobby Murcer but he did sell yesterday at profit. It was only a season and 1/2 but he didn't hit and I need another right handed bat in the outfield. |

Stone league final standings:
Waffletown made a late season push to try and track down Terra Incognita in the race for the OL crown... when the dust settled, the Syrups fell just .002 short as Terra Incognita held their lead and claimed the title. In the overall picture: Terra Incognita claimed the top overall seed for the post season with a solid 102-60 record. They will face the winner of the Hartford-Daytona Beach wild card match. Sierra Vista also claimed their division crown, so all four OL teams in the AC made the post season. In the NC, Waffletown took care of business down the stretch and claimed the NC West division crown (taking 3 of 4 from former East leading Hull City, who dropped to 4th; and 2 of 3 from Mucungie; but it wasn't enough to get Left Coast into the post season as they fell just short of both the division title (3 games back) and a wild card spot (2 games back).) Asheboro claimed the top wild card spot as former division leading Oklahoma collapsed down the stretch, going 1-9 to drop to the 2nd wild card position. |

Congrats to all the winners!
By the way,, I wanted to say I apologize if my posts have been sounding extra whiny this week. It’s been a tough week for Annandale and it’s very frustrating to see your team get pounded time and time again. Nothing I can do about it though so I might as well just not grin and bear it. Brigadoon continues to complete collections. However, I’m selling a lot of the rewards because they don’t fit the theme of the team. And after a while I started thinking to myself…am I being dumb? Because of the large supply, the reward cards typically have lower prices than a comparable card so if you sold one you’d be hard-pressed to replace it with a similar card for the same price. On the other hand, even though a number of these cards are good, they don’t fit the theme I have for Brigadoon, so I would either have to change the theme of the team or a banded altogether. Which I don’t want to do. So I guess I am comfortable selling the cards in though I’m not sure it’s the smartest move. I did finally get a good card in a pack I received. I got an 85 OVR Heath Bell (A reliever) Which looks to be a pretty good card. I still have not seen a diamond or higher from any pack this year, so I’m definitely jealous of you guys getting the great historical cards out of those packs. Maybe someday! heh... I've had my share of whining/rant filled posts following my boys latest post season collapse... it's all part of the fun I'm trying to pretend I'm on vacation right now (since the only times my v20 bunch won the WS was when I was out of town and couldn't log in )with Syrups v20 and v21 in the playoffs, it'll be extra tough to not log in and watch games (edit: who am I kidding? Like I'm not going to pop in to see how each series is going) Last edited by stl jason; 04-26-2020 at 03:17 PM. |

Stone league playoff update:
OL is guaranteed at least one team in the World Series, as Hartford and Sierra Vista will face off against each other in the ALCS. On the opposite side, Waffletown continued their red hot play, sweeping Asheboro in 3 games. The Syrups will take on the OC Ocelots in the NLCS (and as mentioned in the dynasty thread, it will be a match-up of the unstoppable force, with the Ocelots top ranked offense; against the immovable object, with the Syrups top ranked defense). |

Anyone else having this problem?
I have tried to add the Rebels, edster's new team a couple of times and keep getting the error message that I am trying to exceed the friends list maximum of 10 names. WTF?
Any solution? |

It will be an all-OL World Series between the Whalers and the Syrups. Good luck Jason! My appearance was unexpected. I think the good thing about this league this year is that there did not appear to be any "whales" in it so the talent level was pretty even as compared to past seasons.

yeah, I definitely didn't expect this bunch to even make the post season back in July, much less contend for the title. All-OL Stone tier World Series! Any way it turns out, it's a win for the league. |

I couldn't add my 2nd team, then I remembered I needed to drop Lumberton and was able to do it. Seems we have reached the cap....

Whalers take some of their PP to purchase their first Diamond player. 96 SE Ralph Kiner to man LF. Veach will be moved to DH and Oliva and Fielder will be auctioned off. I will take those profits plus my remaining 5500 + extra end of season winnings to get a front line low Diamond SP.

Congratulations Whalers!
I thought with OL power on display, a new bit of recognition might be in order. Seem okay?

The Ring Road Rams and Ft. Huachuca Buffalo Soldiers were the only OL teams in Rookie 111. Fortunately, they were in the same division, so they played each other 19 times. While the Rams won 11 of those, it was the Buffalo Soldiers who won the division.
The rivalry continues next season as neither team was able to be promoted.
