Only in perfect team can a team add Jackie Robinson and Pop Lloyd for the same week of play and somehow get worse. Disgusting. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with league play.

At least my tournament play is picking up a bit. Won a 90 Bobby Higginson in the Friday live diamond event last night with a semifinal appearance, and my silver team is (at least on paper) looking like a threat every time it plays.

Just Mount Hawke and Waffletown in the playoffs, and they may well get promoted even if they both lose their wildcards.

The Rustlers led for most of the way, but fell away right at the end.

Just the 3 playoff teams. Shinbone had a good run in to win their division, but not quite good enough to avoid the wildcard pool.

No teams will be relegated.

The Auckland Athletics captured the OL S253 crown by virtue of a rare tiebreaker, claiming a 30-22 advantage over Port Ruppert in OL run differential. September shutout wins of 7-0 and 10-0 over the Doug Outs largely fueled their margin of victory. They also completed a season-ending road sweep of the Outs to catch Port Ruppert and make their scoring surge the deciding factor.

In PT play, Auckland, Port Ruppert, and Bushwood made the post season. Doug fell short and will remain in silver for 2028. Port Ruppert and Auckalnd will go to gold for sure. I'm fairly certain that Bushwood will ascend, even if they fall in their wild card series. Of course, that assertion comes with the caution that the knowledge derives from a source who didn't notice that the playoffs had changed for PT 23 until last week.

Just need to vent. My time is more limited than in the past, so I really want the game to behave. I'm not sure if it's misbehaving more than in the past, or if I'm just noticing more because I have less time. Suddenly my cursor gets one click and then doesn't respond and I have to use task manager to close the game. My pack counter is off by one and I can't search for the missing cards.That's just the latest of perhaps a half-dozen such things that have cropped up. Not to mention the even worse inattention to detail in this version. The mishandedness of the card art has always been amusing, but stuff like, Andy Messersmith throwing sidearm (?) seems more prevalent. I saw him pitch, and he did not throw sidearm. Not to mention Ted Williams striking out more than twice as much as he walks for the fifth version in a row. And using an iconic image of Roberto Clemente for generic historical card art (I think even Brooks Robinson). I could go on, but I'm calm now, and so won't subject you to anymore diatribe. Thanks for listening. Guess I;'ll shut down the game and try again late this afternoon. It's not just me, is it?

It's funny you posted this now. I was just coming here to ask if anyone is having a problem with the game freezing. I just went in to check to see if I held onto to the division (I did) and was going to spend a few minutes to start making a bronze tournament team. I haven't been able to do a thing except force quit. Checked my internet even restarted my machine but so far nothing. Not going to waste my time on it anymore today and somewhat thankful I am being more casual or I would be really frustrated.

Think it's a bit like Covid, where the symptoms are specific to the individual (pc setup etc, I guess). I think I've been quite lucky in terms of performance stability, with PD draft freezes as my biggest gripe.

Just tried mine and it's fine, but I'm in the UK, so it may be something regional?

Patriots stay up in diamond despite a 29-51 death spiral from the end of June. This has led to an extreme decision from management, as there will be another teardown of the team with the focus put entirely on silver tournament play. Anything not nailed down from collections will most likely be sold. GM Magus said "It's not like players actually matter anyway, apparently. Money and luck matter, and right now we have neither".

On a Mac, but PT22 still requires a force quit. PT23 is fine.

SaukCentre had a disappointing season in Gold and will be back in Silver next season. Management was quick to make some changes and opened their 100+ packs accumulated over the past couple weeks. Those packs yielded some high quality players. Joining the Landsharks for the 2028 season will be Perfect Mickey Mantle, Perfect Bill Gullickson, Platinum Jeff Kent, Platinum Troy Tulowitzki and Unsung Hero Eric O'Flaherty. Sauk is still in the market for more battery upgrades and could have more players arriving this season. Management was overheard saying there should be no excuse for the team not making the playoffs and moving back into gold. If not, there will have to be more changes on the way.
