I know it's still early in the season, but looking at the standings in the Iron league so far, if the season ended today, 5 of the 6 teams in the promotion range are OL (and the other is BFF), so quite a testament to our two groups.

(can't say I'd be upset if my bunch didn't get promoted but if they are good enough to rack up the wins, so be it)

yeah, my tourney team have become experts at bowing out in the round just before prizes are handed out doesn't matter how many teams are in it and how many rounds of prizes.... if it's an 8 team-only the winner gets paid, I'll take 2nd.... if it's a 16 team-only the final 2 get paid, I'll lose in the semis.... it's a gift

Bombers get a nice pull! Had 8 packs from 2 tourney wins today, and got a Live Trout!

Since this is a power/eye team, he fits that idea perfectly. I'm half tempted to withdraw from OL on Bombers just because it's Trout! I may just sell him, but I'm not sure. Super tough to not use a Live Trout when you pull him. Never pulled him anywhere before.

Not a bad pull to help out that team though.

Tough Decision

Would hate to see anyone leave OL. You could hang in there and troll the auction house until you find a 2018 Trout and perhaps still make 10-15,000.

might have to study his games from 2019 and see how he managed to drastically improve his sac bunt and bunt-for-hit game over his 2018 stats

Bronze at the midway point

Weston Pointe is still the far and away leader at the halfway point. They were only 8-2 in OL play yesterday dropping their winning percentage to a mere .848.

In Bronze play:

On the AC side-Weston Pointe has 20.5 game lead in the Central. Palolo is holding down the second WC spot in the AC.

In the NC Cary has a 1 game lead in the East while Krikkit trails Laramie by 1 game for the second WC spot.

I was following a lot yesterday and noticed the Puppies Eddie Collins had a hitting streak going, it was eventually snapped last night at 36 games. I don't recall many streaks above 30 games in PT play.

Coney Island tried one gold pack this morning.Picked up for the 4th time this season a DJ LeMahieu and also Snapshot Jim Beattie. Worst case I turn a small profit on the pack as I don't know I want to hold onto Beattie. I have 5 cards up sale now with these two and one other I am poised to sell and hoping to turn that into a starting pitcher for next week.

Brigadoon Vaults to Lead in OL I210

The Highlanders leapt into first place, and super fan Willie leapt into action. Brigadoon's most rabid rooter remarked, "I've brought along a bandwagon fer yuz all ta jump on. Aye Highlanders!"

I don't think there's any comparison there, in my opinion. The other would be the 100 Legend/Peak Trout but he's 75k, and might be slightly worse than the Live Trout. I think I've got to give it a shot, for now at least. It also doesn't help that there's only 3 teams in OL at the Silver level (me being 2 of them). I may rejoin once we're all caught back up, but for now, I've got to give Trout a go. He just fits the mold too well for this team, and I mean, it's Trout!

I was ready to commiserate with all of you, but, as seems to happen when I'm ready to start messing with the line ups, my teams were able to push past into payoff circle. I went to bed last night, already content that I had 8 packs to open over my coffee this morning (I save any up during the day). Of course, the last thing, I made sure each of my teams were entered just before I shut down. This morning, wow! I had seven more.

What I can commiserate about is the luck of those 15 packs. There were 5 live silver, one OL silver, three OL bronze and the rest live bronze. Even the irons were thin on OL cards. Hopefully the streak continues into today. For the tourneys, not the pulls.

It is funny, though, how tourney teams can just go cold, or, maybe worse, do that "one round short" thing. I guess it shows just how little there is to separate the teams.

perhaps I should point out my teams tourney woes more often.... not long after posting that yesterday, the Wed super gold no DH tourney kicked off.... managed to reach the semi finals and nabbed 3 packs

Waffletown's old timey theme coming along nicely.... filled in a guesstimate year for 'peak' players (basically pulled up their stats on baseball ref and picked a season in their prime) to keep a running average for the 'year' of the team as a whole... got 'em down to an average of 1922 already

Nice job! Came across this great picture of Kid Gleason. Been hoping for a reason to use it.

In Iron .210, I think it's fair to say my Uecker's Underdogs BFF team are being carried a fair bit by 1B Zeke Bonura, but hey, we're hanging in there
