Thanks gmo. I am amazed at the speed you churn these things out. I messed around for a couple days before saying the heck with it. I would love to know the secret or if you possess some magic power.

Hi.
I have a couple strange requests. 1st one. 30 teams. 2 leagues 3 divisions of 5. Limitted Interleague play I think the math must be 164 games ? 16 games indiv (*4) = 64 8 games in both div in league (x5 x2) = 80 4 games against 1 div interleague. (x5) 20 If the divisions were U S and A. I'd need 1 schedule for UU, one for US and one for UA to be played every three years. 2nd. (And I saw you had one close to it but not quite) 16 teams. 2 Leagues 2 div each of 4. With interleague. But I'd like 6 games vs 1 interleague div instead of 3 vs all interleague teams if possible ??? This schedule would of course need a "mate" to alternate years. Thank you very much. |

Have you checked out this set of schedules? It is not exactly what you what, but it may be the best option. Quote:
For both cases do you want otherwise MLB-style start & end dates (beginning of April to beginning of October) plus an All-Star game in early/mid-July? |

Thanks for your quick reply. Firstly on the 16 team schedule. I meant to say it was 144 games. Exactly the same as one(s) already listed 16 teams, 144 games, {2L/2D/4T}, posted 2004/08/21 16 teams, 144 games, {2L/2D/4T}, posted 2005/06/25 But these are 3 games vs the 8 interleague teams and I would prefer 6 in only one division of the other league.... Looking back--> 24 in div. 12 vs other div in league. 6 one division from other league. And the mate with alternate division played. 3*24=72 4*12=48 4*6=24 ------- 144 Ideally, I'd love to have the scheduled centered on the 4th of July (and have a 7 day break there.) I think the All Star Game on the 4th would be really cool. Also a good block of "in division" games at the end of each half (especially the end of the season ) would be ideal. But regular MLB is cool if the rest is too difficult. (I think I can handle the manual editing required to change dates.) On the 30 team schedule I am totally fine with 4 game series. And two game series. I could also live with double headers to make 4 games fit into 3 days too. But I need to check the book I pulled the schedule from. It has been a while since I read it and I may have screwed up the numbers. I know it was 30,2,3,5 though.... I saw the one you linked to. And it is close. I just have a thing about balanced schedules. (And what defines balanced.) Thanks for taking the time. |

While I'm trying to get to teh library and get the book.
How about a go at this one then ? 30 teams 2 leagues. 3 div of 5 each 18 games in div 18*4=72 6 games against 10 league not div. 10*6 = 60 6 games 1 interleague div (alternate years) 5*6 = 30 =162. regular april to oct schedule is fine... All star break at 50% mark +/-. |

I am already working on the earlier 4-game series version. It should work, but it will take some time.

Hi,
I`ve got a schedule request and i hope you will help me. I am looking for a schedule for an 8 team league, with 2 sub divisions of 4 teams each. I would like every team to play each division opponent 18 times and every team from the other division 4 times,so a total of 70 games. And i would like the season to begin in the half of may if that is possible. |

In your league sometime during the preseason (between the point after having proceeded to the next season and before you want the season to begin), go to the League Setup screen and select the Edit Schedule button down at the bottom right. Choose the Import CSV Schedule option on the bottom of that Edit League Schedule screen. Then simply select the file from the window that pops up wherever you saved it on your machine. After import is completed in a few seconds you can set the All-Star Game date, Starting date, and Year Starts On day according to how you want them or how the schedule file advises. |

It seems my computer doesn't reognize the files as its type of file is "file" and it shows the stupid icon which means you dont have that program neccesary to run it. Nevertheless, I imported and came up with a blank schedule. Please help.

Wanting to have doubleheaders in there like a historical schedule is a change for me. It allows for more flexibility ("I'll make it fit by throwing another game onto a day"), but my working spreadsheets are not really set up to handle doubleheaders, so it sort of balances out I think. |
