Really sharp, mate ... tx, is there a way to make that beautiful Pelican bird to stand out more ... maybe an off color white around the bird ... THAT is one of the best Pelican of it's type, so far ... love the color, mate

Rumors floating around that the Hornets will change their name to the Pelicans next season.
I've always loved the Pelicans as a mascot.

I'm finally making my first contribution to the thread. These are a few of the better logos that I've developed thus far.
Thanks to knuckler, txranger, and others who have provided templates, font recommendations, and tips. NOTES: The New York Centennials team is based on the idea that it originated with a predecessor club that was formed in 1876, during the first centennial year of the U.S. The Detroit Ambassadors are named for the Ambassador Bridge, which was opened in 1929 and still connects Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario. Also, the Pittsburgh Keystones is not an entirely original concept, and credit goes to truthserum for coming up with the base idea a few years ago. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Any way I could get logos/jerseys/caps for the Richmond Rebels and Las Vegas Aces (or be directed to where someone has already done them)? It would be much appreciated!

Look in the Nickname thread or search it for Rebels and Aces... There are logos and jerseys there... You might also look in the Cities thread...

tx ... after studying the logos of the Pelicans ... I still like the Original coloring ... after using Paint.net, I'd somehow were able to "lighten" the original and yet maintained the authentic look ... and the Pelican was able to standout ... Thanks, for trying, mate ...
I, unfortunately know my limitation with these logos ... but I am thankful to those who volunteered their time in helping other mates out ... to the others as: DC, Charlie and others who I can't remembered right now - THANKS!! ... this is what make this Forum "Tremendous" ...

Do these work any better for you? I started over with the original and selectively lightened some of the red so maybe the Pelican will stand out better. In one case I also adjusted the drop shadow around the letters, whereas I kept the lettering the same in the second version.

First off, amazing work on the retro theme/style logos. These are amazing and are the only logos I will use in any of my fictional/non fictional leagues.
My next question is how are any and all requests handled? I'm sure knuckler and txranger get a lot of those. But if at all possible I do have some requests for some logos that I need if at all possible. League logo for fictional league Premiere Baseball League (of America) the 'of America' is optional also league can be changed to Association or Union Team logo: California Bruins Florida Gators San Jose Athletics Bay Area Athletics New York Mets/Metropolitans Mexico City Jaguars Havana Lions Oklahoma (City) Cowboys San Juan Falcons I know this may be a lot and I understand if you can't do all or some as well. But I figured I'd ask since you two so some really amazing work on the logos. Also, any chance or news on having all the modern day franchises logos retro fitted? I guess the ultimate point of that question is are you also planning on finishing the MLB logos, then possibly doing the NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLS? Anywho, great work on the logos and I look forward to seeing more of your work. Email: dmacpgh82@gmail.com |

Since txranger is busy and I'm not sure if knuckler is around at the moment, I figured I would get you going. I hope they don't mind that I used some previously posted logos as starting points. I'm not sure if these are retro enough for you, but I'm not as adept as knuckler in finding the older style logo elements.
