Blitzkrieg, stuck in the wilderness, made a mistake.
They opened a few packs, got a perfect Arenado, quicksold him, and the idiot manager, thinking he had his 1980s filter on, went to buy a player. Two problems here.. 1. He had the "199" filter on that he uses on his 90's decade team. 2. He didn't recognize his mistake and bought the 93 OVR Special Edition Kevin Brown. Jackie Robinson now looks at Kevin Brown with even more bewilderment, because he doesn't have the 80's mullet that he's used to seeing. That's now a second player out of place on the team

Thanks. I am entered, its only been 5 days but my silver tourny team hasn’t done that well. Shame there isn’t a selection of Munson cards like PT20 I don’t need it to be jacked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

welcome aboard triumvirate of Yardgoats ![]() added you to the online sheet... looks like the lowest level we have OL teams at this season is Iron, so it'll be a couple seasons at minimum before you catch up to some of the other teams, but can't hurt to add them to your friend's list early. |

As an Old Mets fan, I'd rather have the Grote or the John Stearns that's out there.

Jefferson Valley Gets Busy, Grabs G320 Lead in OL
The Rebels, probably the OL team most victimized by OOTP's scheduling quirks in recent weeks, showed what they can do given a chance, jumping out to a swift lead. Scheduling has still been a little thin, so expect more of a race to unfold.
OL has been fairly mediocre in PT play, as the stats show, save for Krikkit's division lead. Waffletown is the only team in relegation right now, but most are a lot closer to that line than the promotion stripe. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 07-15-2020 at 06:15 AM. |

K-Town Rocks, Piles up Lead in OL S279
It is the headline I've resisted until now. The Rock Piles have gotten out in front and have a shot at something I can remember happening only once before - head down a level with a crown. I remember because it was one of my teams back in the fledgling days, when I awkwardly referred to Our League as the Real League, before Chad stepped in and righted the moniker and the ship. That would be in in PT 19. For those interested, the threads for Our League are up in the forum, though you have to page back to find where to begin. It's kind of cool to see the explosion in numbers of posts and views between 19 and 20.
In PT play, K-town and Otonokizaka are in relegation while Port Ruppert and Bluffton are in wild card contention. |

Had a little time so I put this together. The Puppies are on top as the calendar is readying to turn to June. Palolo has been powered by a combined 11-2 record vs. Highland and Brigadoon.
In PT play it's the have's and the have nots. Of the eleven teams seven are in the early playoff hunt and the other four are sitting in the relegation zone. I may or may not post tomorrow but will be back to regular posting Friday. |

Hooterville only OL team to lead a division, but others well in the WC hunt. Plenty of games left to play...too early to call.

basement achieved! ![]() I think this is going to be the worst season ever for the Syrups (any version).... going to log it here (v21 worst: 69-93; v20 worst: 64-98; v19 worst: 65-97).... barring a miracle, looking like the first 100+ loss season in Waffletown history keep those Silver league fires burning... see ya next year

Hey fellas. Haven't checked in here for a few days so I thought I would say hello and provide an update. I've been occupying myself with a 3rd FTP team that entered the entry pool last week and graduated to Rookie this Monday. They are following my idea of competing all the LIVE missions but selling the rewards and using the cash to build a team. It's going well.
I did a very smart thing with this team - I created the account at the release of OOTP21 in April but I did not create the team itself (I did this to get the extra gold pack). And every time I got the challenge packs for my other teams I did one for this team too. But didn't open it. So last week when I created the team I had the 5 starter packs, 4 golds, and 26 regular packs - so 35 packs in all. With that bounty I was able to create a very good entry pool team without spending one PP. Had a couple of live golds, and my historical card pulls were really good too: I started with 3 shortstops, a LF, and two mid-80s pitchers. Nothing above an 88 though. Since my team was so good out of the gate I was able to focus all my attention and PP on completing the LIVE missions - which I did earlier this week, as my Maddux, Yogi and Yaz all sold on Monday/Tuesday. I don't have the exact figures for what I earned vs. what the mission rewards brought, but adding up all the players I've purchased plus what I came into this season with gets me to right around 200k PP. I purchased a few upgrades and am currently dominating Rookie league (45-12?). Since then I have been identifying what players I want to use and trying to figure out how best to spend those points. That's always a fun endeavor and what I've been occupying myself with recently. As for the other teams: * Brigadoon had been working on the 100 OVR Appling mission and was waiting for over a week to get the 96 OVR Ernie Banks card, which I got Sunday night. I inserted Appling into my lineup and my reward for that has been to get mercilessly pounded in Diamond. * Annandale scrounged up enough PP to purchase another SP - Ice Box Chamberlain (PP are still pretty difficult to come by for them, even though I've juiced up the stadium). Who has done pretty well in Gold (so of course, Tommy John, who was an All-Star last year, has an ERA of 8 or 9 this year!). Unfortunately, there's not a lot for me to look forward to for those two teams - heck, I have been entering tournaments left and right for Brigadoon, and I even won a Daily Silver. Opened 18 packs and the results were mediocre. It's disappointing to put in so much effort and not see much of a difference in the end. I'll keep doing it though, as that seems to be the only route to improve your team. So most of my effort will be focused on my 3rd team since that's the only one who can actually make any moves to improve! They have not joined the OL though I guess there's no reason they won't eventually. |

No openings needed. Just follow rules from 1st post (No money, no live players...). Be sure to add '- OL' to team name and '+' to nickname. And friend other OL-er's and set placement to Use Friends List. You can only have 30 friends, so just friend the ones at or near your level. |

The Puppies are still the big dogs but Shinbone has closed the gap as we hit the mid point of the season.
In PT play we still have seven teams in the playoff hunt while the other four Coney Island, Hamtramck, Brigadoon and Norwood all sit in the relegation zone. |

K-Town Still on Top in OL S279
The race is widening as more teams begin OL play, but the Rock Piles continue to rule.
PT play much the same, though a couple of OL teams are resisting the relegation pull. |

Rebels still rolling
Jefferson Valley continues to set the pace, but things should get busier. For example, I'm sure when I checked Terra Incognita had at least 15 OL games on their schedule. I believe that's the case with other teams. Hopefully we'll have a barn burner of a stretch run.
PT play continues to muddle along. |

K-Town Still Rolling in OL S279
The Rock Piles continued their charge to the crown, but the race could still be viewed as four teams wide, with the bottom three teams struggling mightily.
In PT, Port Ruppert and Bluffton are in wild card spots, but the other OL teams have improved their play and and seemed poised to make a run at contention. Ring Road has nearly escaped relegation, while Otonokizaka remains buried in last place. |

War Robots Lead in OL G320
Krikkit continues to click as the pace setter, but still faces challenges in a four team chase for the crown.
In PT, the War Robots are the only OL team in a solid playoff spot as a division leader. Annandale has moved into contention for an AC wild card spot. The rest of OL is far off the playoff pace, with Terra Incognita slumping toward relegation of late, and Norwood and Waffletown both 10+ games deep in the demotion zone. |

A little pressed for time today-here are the OL Diamond standings. Palolo continues to slip opening it up for Hidden Valley to jump into the lead. Shinbone who was challenging went 1-8 yesterday to drop from second to sixth. I will try to come back with standings and OL games remaining for the contenders later, we could be looking at a good chase for the crown this week.
