Late night drama for B202

OL's B202 chase for the pennant isn't going to be decided until at least the penultimate game of the season as Ft. Huachuca took care of business, winning 9 of their last 11 OL games to pull within percentage points of league-leading Ring Road.

The Rams' 3-game, season-ending series against Daytona Beach will decide the title. The Rams must win 2 of 3 from the Tortugas to win the championship. Otherwise, they will fall in line behind the Buffalo Soldiers. Ring Road is 13-3 against the Tortugas so far this season.

In non-OL action, Ring Road has clinched their division and will head to the playoffs. Ft. Huachuca and Daytona Beach will be relegated, while Transylvania is in relegation status, but could fight their way out. Otonokizaka escaped relegation and will be back in Bronze next season.

That's because, when I was in the service, I went to military journalist school at Ft. Ben Harrison in Indianapolis. A classmate of mine was from Loveland and we'd go there every weekend. That was in 1972. I googled chili parlors in Loveland and I believe the Skyline Chili on Loveland Madeira Rd I got as a result is the same one we went to back then, though remodeled since then. I still remember the welcome sign: "Welcome to Loveland - the sweetheart of Ohio."
Yep, I grew up in Norwood, OH. Played "Knothole" baseball at Waterworks Park, so that's my ballpark.

I've been to that very Skyline (it's an acquired taste, but I love it!)

I was a New York kid when I first tried it, but it clicked with me right away!

Port Ruppert Finishes in Rush to Claim OL S250 Crown

The Mundys had a strong final sim to top the standings with room to spare. Ewa Beach stumbled a bit, but it was of little consequence with Port Ruppert's late charge.

Gold Goes to Norwood

Congrats to Norwood on winning the Gold crown!

The Diamonders will be the only OL representative from the AC in the playoffs as the top seeded wildcard.

In the NC Brigadoon put together a 103 win season leaving second place Coney Island in the dust. The Warriors did secure the top wildcard spot and will host our old friend Hamtramck at Come out to Play Park later this morning. If victorious they wouldn't meet Brigadoon until the sub league series should both teams get there.

Jefferson Valley and Bluffton will be dropping to Silver next week. Bluffton went 2-8 in their last 10 games to seal the deal. Promotions will be decided later today.

Good luck to all in the playoffs.

Sidewinders strike for title in OL I168

Cochise County came out on top in a closely contested Iron race.

In non-OL action, Sierra Vista barely missed out on the playoffs. Vlora plays in the wildcard game, with the winner of that game advancing to the Division Series, with a possible matchup in the Sub-League series with the winner of the Sidewinders/Road Dogs Division Series.

Maybe back to iron?

If they fought their way out of the drop, then they will be in bronze.

For Transylvania, I agree. Was talking about Daytona Beach and Ft. Huachuca.

Gold update

Coney Island dropped the wildcard game to Hamtramck. Brigadoon is tied at one game a piece and Norwood, the only other OL team still active is down 1-0 in the division series.

With the Warriors loss, I can take silver or gold next week.

That's what I get for thinking about one league while writing about another...while monitoring network traffic and doing sound mixing.

Transylvania and Otonokizaka get to stay in Bronze, while Ft. Huachuca and Daytona Beach weren't awful enough to drop all the way to Stone, but will go to Iron, as correctly pointed out.

Ring Road is currently positioned to advance to Silver, where they will be overmatched and sent packing back to Bronze.

I will do diamond, as long as someone tells me how to create those nice tables and also using the saved images for the ending standings.

Once I have that info, I can post prettier results, but here is the win-loss record for each OL team in diamond: Congrats to Hidden Valley on winning the OL crown, and to Palolo for a nice runner-up finish

Hidden Valley Bombers: 20-13
Palolo Puppies: 22-18
Weston Pointe Caspers: 20-20
Highland Raccoons:19-19
Cary Southpaws: 17-17
Shinbone Stars: 15-21
Kansas Rangers: 9-14

Total: 122-122
Also: Caspers, Raccoons, Kansas, and Hidden Valley all made the playoffs, but only the Kansas Rangers have made it to the sub-league series, where they are currently down 1-0 to the Golden Gophers BFF.

Three OL teams will be demoted to gold next season: Cary Southpaws (75-87 despite a +12 run difference), Palolo Puppies (74-88) and Shinbone Stars (72-90)

I just checked in and Port Ruppert will be going up to gold. I'll have two teams there, so I'll leave silver to you, if that's okay.
