Question Help: Operation Pre-Fight

My newest improvement involves improving the very beginning of the bout log by adding additional graphics and text. The graphics problem is solved; does anyone have any ideas re how to import pre-fight text?

Here's the foundation:

Those familiar with the history of Title Bout recall that the factors for each fighter originally were on a card -- the boxer-profile card -- which came with the board game.

The WTBA went one better than the Trunzo Model by adding a photograph of the fighter as a background image to the card. Since WTBA fighters are topless women, this has proved to be a popular modification!

I want to install these cards atop the bout log, prior to the first round, along with sidereal text re pre-fight prep and bio. The problem of displaying the card images has been solved. I'll post the solution here eventually once I'm sure it is free from bugs. Although many here won't want the topless images, the computer does not care what the image looks like, and if what you prefer is a photo of Rocky Marciano or Jack Dempsey, there's no reason why we cannot have that too.

That can be a new project for someone, locating 600 X 900 images of famous fighters.

The sidereal text remains a problem,. Recall that in TB2.5, there was a pre-fight screen that contained commentary re the strategy focus of the two fighters. Last I checked, Paul Norman had eliminated the display of this; but, the commentary remains on the commentary chip.

I would like to call up this commentary and display it alongside the photos. It appears the way to do this is with the double-dollar function, but it is not clear to me how this function works or why it works only some of the time. I gather it is linked to the program in some way and (occasionally) can call things like the names of the fighters, their records, the number of the round, scoring, and an announcement of the fight result. However, it is fickle: To give some idea of how fickle, I tried to use it to create <td> IDs on the Scheduler page, and with the exact same code, the effort was successful exactly once in three tries.

???

In any event, the first question is whether there is any textual command which can be used to call up the pre-fight commentary. In other words, to call the round, you use "name=$$No$$...>Round $$Round$$<...", or to get the fight result, in the right location, you use "$$ANNOUNCEMENT$$", and this is what is meant by the double-dollar function.

So, after all that, does anyone know what one has to say (and where one has to say it) to get the game to cough up the pre-fight commentary text? For example, would "$$PreFight$$" do it, or maybe "$$Training$$"?
