Smile injuries

I have had three of my five outfielders go down in the game. I have had players that in real life hardly ever get injured be lost for months at a time and numerous pitchers get injured in the first inning and leave the ball game. and since I go half inning at a time the ai put in some pitcher I wouldn't have. not injury related but I when I do half inning I get rain delays in the middle of the inning and the next thing I know my pitcher became exhausted and gave up 10 runs and walks. does/did anyone else have these problems and what did you do about it?

flip a coin enough and you'll see X-straight heads or tails eventually.

some people have to win the turd lottery. it's inevitable. i have seen something similar. luckily, i was just mass simming in som throw-away league and saw a distinctly down year and was curious to look. in the past i've even made teams all "1" for injury proneness... i've still seen years in which numerous players blow a tire. injuries are mutually exclusive events unless it's 2 players running into each other and they both get hurt at the same time.

do you have it on "realistic" or "normal". realistic is a bit elevated in frequency from "normal". the realistic one mentions "modern mlb" [sic to all] in the drop down, so it's a tasty idea to try if you read it, but may not like the results.

check those player's injury ratings, for hte heck of it... if they are low (<50), the game likely has them as you perceive them... if you don't like how they have perceive their durability, go ahead and change it (if allowed, ie not CM).

The Angels had to place 5 pitchers (including 3 closers) on the SIXTY day disabled list in the month of April 2017.

I've had a pitcher become exhausted after a really long rain delay. I immediately remove him for another pitcher in fear that i may be risking injury and/or have him really struggle to get outs. Unfortunately, when this has happened, i typically don't have another pitcher warming up in bullpen so they come in cold (I do also warm up a second relief pitcher in the meantime so if the guy i brought in struggles, I have another guy ready two batters later)...

I have a similar question though actually...when i am playing out games and my SP gets injured early in the game and has to come out mid-inning...does the relief pitcher i bring in come in "cold" since he hasn't warmed up?...or is it like real life where he has as much time as needed to warm up on field, so he isn't "cold"?

Typically 45-60 minute rain delays are the point at which pitchers are replaced in real life.

It's like real life, he gets to warm up.
