Setup Online League

Hi all,

I want to know if I can set up a league with a couple of my buddies. I want to be able to control the simming of the league on a daily basis with them able to make changes to their team rosters, settings, strategies etc. Is this a thing? or does it involve saving, sending and uploading changes every day? We aren't interested in just trying to get into the same "perfect team" league.

So in our mind Player 1 runs the Giants, Player 2 the Orioles and Player 3 the Pirates, all other teams are controlled by the game. The season is advanced weekly by a "Commissioner" (Say player 1). We can either make roster, strategy, lineup changes once per game week.

Any help would be great!

Each one of you need to have the game OR, you can all do it on the same PC and each have your own login to the same game.

If you are doing it where each of you are on your own PC's then yes, there are files you would need to send back and forth. If you guys want to make it easy you can all split the cost of getting your league hosted on Stats+ and then stats+ does almost all of the work except for the players doing their changes on their computer and then uploading their files to the server and then you downloading their files before you do the sim.

Most of that is explained in the Wiki, https://wiki.ootpdevelopments.com/in...Online_Leagues but overall, splitting the small cost of stats+ would save you a ton of headaches.

I wonder why OOTP doesn't host servers for that. Don't most game companies routinely do that? Too expensive?

Perfect Team is where they do that because $$$.

Based on the amount of attention the online league feature gets, not many people play in online leagues.
