Long-time OOTP Franchise fan here! I’ve always been super into it and then I stumbled upon this new button on the front page called Perfect Team. And just like that, I was hooked. Actually, my journey started way back with FPS Baseball 94, which totally feels like the inspiration for OOTP. The similarities are wild—so many ideas seem straight out of that game.
Since I'm a huge fan of this franchise, I'm always up for sharing what I've learned and maybe even giving some tips on how to enjoy it even more.

Primary Target : finish above .500 (82-80 as minimum)
Secondary target(s) : reach playoffs, get promoted to Diamond League
Team development target(s) : lower batting Strikeouts (less than 1398, better than 15th rank), decrease Walks allowed (less than 619, better than 15th rank)
Previous season was concluded in following blog post - https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/blog.php?b=2792
Starting rosters
Had to move 100 Josh Hamilton to a little different role - DH, and 92 Bob Allison as full time LF. Mainly because he had the worst ZR amongst all players in Active Roster, might change it back by All Star break depending how he performs.
Got 91 Jakie May from card shop cheap so definitely using him now as a Stopper, patience pays off when it comes to picking good cards from shop.

Roster moves
3B 98 Ron Santo vs 100 Ken Caminiti
Finished L1 Live Missions and got my Perfect Caminiti, problem is that Ron Santo seems to be a better 3B, with back-to-back Gold Gloves and proven offensive capabilities. Benefits that Caminiti brings are related to this seasons targets, definitely less K's and he is a Switch hitter. Need to check how he performs for other teams.
Decision : 98 Ron Santo will remain as primary 3B
1B 81 Travis Hafner vs 91 Roger Connor
Hafner should be great in Run Production but failed to do so last season narrowly, got finally 3.97 RC27 and 97 wRC+. And on top of that he has the worst Avoid K's rating in current lineup.
Connor at the same time has been ignored because he had ratings which imply low Run Production from the start, but he is Switch hitting and has good defensive ratings, like way better than Hafner.
Decision : promote Connor to Active roster (reduced K's)
RP 85 LHP Rich Hill vs 91 LHP Jakie May
Decision : promote LHP Jakie May because of reasons (reduced Walks Allowed)
