Long-time OOTP Franchise fan here! I’ve always been super into it and then I stumbled upon this new button on the front page called Perfect Team. And just like that, I was hooked. Actually, my journey started way back with FPS Baseball 94, which totally feels like the inspiration for OOTP. The similarities are wild—so many ideas seem straight out of that game.
Since I'm a huge fan of this franchise, I'm always up for sharing what I've learned and maybe even giving some tips on how to enjoy it even more.

Silver 251 - Year 2026

Just keeping track of my primary team in PT24, progress, failures and how this team evolves.
Strategy for Active roster is expected RC (Runs Created) for Offense, and FIP for defense. It does mean that plenty of relatively good offensive players will not see any action but so far this approach seems to work, there have been slumps which is expected. But when it works it's just beautiful. There are other strategies to employ but synergies of 2 approaches should not be ignored.
Just keeping track of my primary team in PT24, progress, failures and how this team evolves. I have played this franchise for a very long time, starting from OOTP 9. But truly I think a proper starting point should be highlighted as Front Page Sports: Baseball '94, which I consider to be real starting point for this type of simulator.
All cards have been acquired from packs or missions, and been quite lucky with those ones so far. There are some pending Buy orders for upgrades, nothing very critical but would be nice to have.
SILVER .251
Season #4 93-69 .574
Season finish was League Championship loss but promoted to Gold, which is going to be even more challenging to keep up. Pitcher of the Year award was nice, some extra PP from that and Concepcion got Great Bat at SS. I keep forgetting that SS does not have offensive players and that was a good reminder to just let it be.
End of season team rating and lineups:
(caveat, Offensive and Pitching rating scores are my own work, metagame and League Totals based on Years.
Defense is as game shows)

Major Transactions:
100 Josh Hamilton…Pulled from a pack
87 Kevin Mitchell…Pack pull
Meanwhile, collecting packs and these will be opened before 2027 starts, hopefully some upgrades. Current balance 50+ (including 2x Silver, 1x Diamond) + 7x Choice packs including Perfect.
To be done:
Some simple traffic lights for each player to highlight need for upgrade, promotion, etc.,
Offensive and Defensive scores separated,
Overall line-up score that combines Offense and Defence.
Relatively decent packs
