The A's fell to the Cleveland Indians Tuesday night by a score of 9-6 in the first of a three game set at Cleveland stadium. Philadelphia pitching gave up 12 walks on the night. The Indians pulled ahead in the 7th inning scoring five runs on four hits. Cleveland's Early Wynn (3-2) worked eight innings while giving up six earned runs getting his third win of the season.
Elmer Valo continues his impressive offensive season hitting in his 13th consecutive game. He went 1 for 3. His batting average is a Major League leading .432.
