Indians win behind Bob Lemon no-hitter

Bob Lemon threw a no-hitter against the Philadelphia Athletics Thursday afternoon at Cleveland Stadium enroute to a 6-1 win. Lemon (2-4) threw 143 pitches giving him his second win of the year. The A's managed to score a run in the first inning off the bat of shortstop Eddie Joost after Lemon loaded the the bases. Though Lemon shut down the A's offense, he issued eight walks on the day. Philadelphia starter Joe Coleman had a rough outing but went the distance picking up his 6th loss. The A's provided some great defensive plays, but ultimately were not able to curb the Indian's offense.
The A's head to Detroit for a two game stand against the first place Tigers. The A's road record thus far is 3-10.
