Nice easy win for us. We broke the game open in the 5th as we sent 10 men to bat and scored 5 runs. Our backup catcher, Bob Moody, got the start today and lead the attack, picking up 4 hits including 2 doubles. This game really helped our batting average. We're now at .231 and this is the first time this year we're not last in batting.

Another tight back-and-forth game. We came out on top this time. RF Steven Lewis had the biggest day, hitting a 2-run HR in the 7th and drawing a two-out walk to start our 9th inning rally. In the 9th, SS Russell McDonald delivered the game-tying hit and 2B Cliff Beard the go-ahead hit. Beard and McDonald have been clutch so far. They're tied for the team-lead in RBI at 10.

I survived to manage another season at Cincinnati. A few bright spot for the Reds. First is 29 yo George Trenwith. He played 12 games and hit in 11 of those for a .328 avg and 5 RBI. Replaced Ralph Ham at 3B. The other standout was starting pitcher George Knight. George started 22 games and finished with a 10-8 record with 25 strike out and a 1.70 era. George Wright had a very good season, .321 avg a lone HR and 30 RBI. Al Pratt had a disappointed season. Pratt's record was 13-22 with 2 saves. Al...

Tough loss. We blew a 3-0 lead in the 8th and lost it in the 13th. 1B Steve Bentely tied it up for Trenton in the 8th with a 2-run HR and SS Tom Hopkins hit a walk-off HR in the 13th after going 0-for-5 up to that point. We had some chances but weren't able to get it done.
