1893 will mark the 10th year of this league. In my eyes, this is where it starts to get exciting because the first crop of potential hall of famers will be retiring.

I bring that up because I have made a concerted effort this season to try to trade for Cap Anson for one reason only. He needs to appear in at least one game this year to be eligible for the hall of fame, and the Colts have him languishing in AAA where he's hitting over .470.

As I pass the All Star break in the 1892 season, I couldn't help but notice how contrarian this team is compared to what I usually try to field. The reason for this is quite likely due to the fact that I have never played a simulation from before 1901 before. I never really considered any professional baseball prior to 1901 to be a "true" Major League.
