I had fun with this. The process of trying to be too creative can be a little overwhelming, so I'm forcing myself not to spend too much time on thread updates, trying not to overthink what I'm doing. Otherwise, it starts to feel like too much work.

I loathe sports cliches, but if I'm going to make up quotes from managers, I'm going to use them if I can. The funny thing is that even as I'm writing them, I almost have to recoil.

One of the most painful things about undertaking this project - aside from not being confident in my own writing ability - is the attempt to speak for people with whose voice I am not familiar. I've found that trying to borrow or imitate another person's voice takes a lot of time and some practice. Maybe I ought to know what Kay sounds like, how he speaks, the expressions he likes to use, for the sake of the story. There are, however, problems with that.
