The Jays trailed the Mariners the whole way but Mike Marshall singled in the 9th and was replaced by pinch runner Von Hayes who ended up scoring on a Sac Fly by Daniel Wood to tie the game. He then got an RBI single in the 10th to out the Jays ahead. Toronto won 5-4. David Roberts hit his first home run as a Jay. Joseph Prost homered and drove in all four of Toronto's runs as the Jays welcomed Robinson Lopez back to the fold with a 4-2 win over the Mariners.
